Proliferation: Hollywood develops “Che-Bomb”

Weapon empties theaters.

P.J. Gladnick, writing at newsbusters, exposes how much of a miserable failure Steven Soderbergh’s Che hagiography has been at the box office.  Only fitting since Che himself was a failure having his only “success” while playing second fiddle to fidel castro.  He was an accomplished murderer, I’ll give him that.  Well now’s he’s murdered Soderbergh’s career, at least temporarily.

BTW, I saw articles in Variety that peg the price tag of this weapon of mass boredom at $60,000,000 not the $40,000,000 that Gladnick cites.  Either way, that’s a lot of zeros to spend on such a zero.

  1. Thanks, Henry …

You’ll NEVER know how you just made my last few (crazy) weeks complete.

    George knows …

    God bless!

  2. Henry –

Rotten Tomatoes pretty much trashed The Passion Of The Christ.

The high approval for Che over Christ pretty says all I need to know about RT …

Besides, RT has panned some of my favorite movies.

This movie’s failure was a victory for truth.

  3. Henry, I really don’t know how or why “my act” (?) is starting to grate on you.

I have been very consistent in my denunciation of Fidel and the regime, and I have been polite to everyone here unless someone insults or attacks me first.

  4. Fromage; Henry’s right about you. You can “denounce” Castro all you want, because the rest of your posts marks you as an unadulterated, uncompromising and very, very, very USEFUL IDIOT!!

  5. Didn’t ‘che’ fail for the same reason the broad from Ted Fonda’s Communist News Network tried so hard to provoke Tea Party demonstrators?

Didn’t ‘che’ fail for the same reason another blow-dried network jackass joked about ‘teabagging’, in vain effort to discredit Tea Party demonstrators?

Don’t they all stink of fear, the fear of those who know they’re found out?

Forty years ago, they stuck che’s red-style silhoutte on dope papers in hope of suckering gullible youths. They did. For a time.

Even then, though most of us knew little of che, when we saw him on drug papers we knew he was a fourflusher.

It’s forty years later. Cagasstro’s Cuba remains fraught with famine, terror, and death – and most people know che caused a good deal of it.

Why would anyone who loves liberty and truth waste time and money on ‘che’?

Some say the left ‘doesn’t get it’. Others believe the left does. They say it pimps hunger, torture, terror, and death for the same reason it loves cagasstro and che – because the left is run by thugs.

‘che’ bombed because people know the truth, just as they know that Tea Party demonstrators were concerned about high spending and loss of liberty.

The left is nervous because despite decades of red fairy tales, people still see the truth.

Truth is stronger than lies. That’s why lies and those who tell them will not endure. That’s why commie agitprop such as ‘che’ will always fail, along with those who embrace it.

  6. I double checked and the actual “Che” budget was $58 so it bombed even worse than thought. The $40 million figure came from IMDB but it was way low.
