The Demons of Their Own Creation

John, 11:35

I’ve spent the last two days alternating between mourning for the children and the people of Newtown, and of America as a whole, and arguing with those who wish to place the blame for the slaughter on an inanimate object, and not on the larger disease affecting our society at large.

The “ban guns” argument is a simplistic solution advanced by simpletons who lack the understanding of the larger problem, because they are the problem.

Found a great column on the massacre written by a Canadian blogger and wanted to share it.

Blood On The Hands Of The LEFT

I was just about to publish my latest editorial as promised, on Canada’s Supreme Court Decision to suspend Freedom of Speech, in favor of promoting one language over all others.

THEN THE CONNECTICUT SCHOOL-SHOOTING HAPPENED.

Next to language issues in Canada, and a failed Judicial System in both of our countries, what happened in Connecticut takes precedence.

I won’t waste words describing my feelings, because how I feel about as many as, and maybe more than 26 people murdered, including 18 children is indescribable.

BUT I WILL TELL YOU WHY IT HAPPENED:

It didn’t happen because of the so-called gun culture, or because of poor security at the school. It happened because of the modern LEFTIST culture that has removed all semblances of personal responsibility and respect.

It happened because of the Hollywood and television types who lecture the Conservatives on how people should live, while they make FORTUNES producing absolute FILTH in their movies and on television programs.

It happened because of reality television shows that demean humanity. And shows that make people laugh at the pain and humiliation of others.

It happened because multi-millionaire computer game producers create UGLY digital scenarios that poison young minds with abject and gratuitous violence.

It happened because the school system doesn’t teach values, and promotes the idea that everything goes. And that all people are equal regardless of the truth. And that no one ever fails.

It happened because LEFTISTS won’t allow concerned and loving parents to discipline their children, or raise their children the way they want to.

It happened because far too many Liberals spend far too much time and effort ridiculing and attacking people who want to live by the lessons of the Bible and the Torah.

In truth . . . this and other horrible acts of violence happen, because our society from our entertainment industry, to schools, to the media, and our governments have created the social and cultural foundation that is eating away at our countries like a cancer.

I know that what I just wrote WILL inflame those on the LEFT, and that’s OK, because if they don’t like it . . . they can ROT in HELL along with the demons of their own creation.

I want my old country values back . . .

. . . when we stood in school when an adult entered the room. When we were really disciplined for bad behavior. When we were measured by our successes and failures. When not everyone had to waste years of his or her life in college studying basket weaving instead of taking a trade course, or going to work right after finishing high school. When your mom was a woman and your dad was a man. And when there weren’t vulgar parades extolling the “virtues” of being gay.

If you want to stop the sickness . . . IT’S TIME TO STOP THE LEFT.

In Sadness . . . Howard Galganov.

  1. Yes Luis, this is the reality of this lefty ideology mentality polluted society that doesn’t want to accept the consequences of its sins. The list is way too long to display why are we going so wrong in America today.

This lefty influenced society of today wants to set its own set of rules (in the process going against God’s rules) and then has the freaking audacity to expect that God will protect it from the consequences of their sinful actions.

This society is so blinded with the acceptance of their collective sins that cannot understand why there is so much evil in our lives and what leads to it.

The left is taking God from our daily lives on a regular basis, abortion is promoted like if it was a normal thing. Kids cannot praise God in schools, their minds are being polluted on a daily basis by the Hollywood entertaining machine that promotes all kinds of sinful behavior.

The left entertainment machine and the MSM promotes role models to our kids individuals that far from it. This type of brainwashing has gone on for too long as we continue to witness its devastating results. Believe me, things won’t get any better if we continue on this path.

Religious values are taken from our kids lives, and then we wonder why kids today are so out of control. The worst part is that when these kids become adults the situation won’t improve since this is the way they were brought up.

America’s society is on the wrong path guided by the wrong set of lefty-inspired values. I don’t know what will take it from this path…

  2. Sorry, but that argument doesn’t wash. Europe and Canada are much farther to the left than we are, but yet they manage to have much lower rate of gun homicide than we do. Are you going to claim that Europeans are more into God than we are? The advanced countries all see the same movies we see, and they play the same video games we play. Hell, anyone even remotely familiar with Japan knows about the steady diet of rape, violence and absolute PERVERSION (schoolgirls, anyone?) that fills their entertainment, and yet their gun violence levels are microscopic when compared to ours. Is Hollywood full of scumbags who profit from filth? Yes, no doubt. But they don’t care about the impact of their filth because they’d rather make money than take responsibility. By the same token, do you want to know why we have guns up to our eyeballs in this country? Why we always change the subject when it comes to the easily availability of weapons for lunatics? Because the gun manufacturers control the terms of the debate and there is no way a bunch of dead kids are going to get in the way of the money machine.

  3. “Sorry, but that argument doesn’t wash”

Sorry, but your argument doesn’t wash with me either if if you cannot understand where we’re been taken by removing religious values from our society…

Plus Europe and Japan have enough lunatics that kill without firearms.

The truth is still emerging on this incident, so far the firearms were registered to his mother. How the kid got access to them has not been explained yet. What triggered this kid mental state to commit such horrible murders has not been established yet.

We have restrictions in our country on who cannot get access to firearms, it is called background check and in many cases is performed by social security number and yet, people that cannot qualify for firearms still get guns through illegal means.

Reality is that anyone that is disturbed enough to commit a crime will commit it with firearms or not.

  4. BTW, you forgot about characters like Anders Behring Breivik the perpetrator of the 2011 Norway attacks and bombing that killed 77 people and injured 242.

Europe (with all its gun control laws) have its share of murderous lunatics.

At the end of the day, murderous characters like these find ways of getting their hands on firearms regardless of restrictions.

  5. I haven’t forgotten Breivik at all, but frankly, Europe’s going to have come up with an army of Breiviks before they have any hope of catching up to the US in terms of gun mayhem.

  6. Still blaming the US and gun manufacturers. I’m beginning to suspect that you support the liberal agenda too.

You still try to pain the US as gun mayhem when Europe is full of murderers. The fact is that Breivik killed far more people in one instance than the worst mass murder here.

What you’re downplaying and failing to acknowledge by comparing with Canada and Europe is the fact that the sinful actions of the murderer (and what leads to this sinful act) as the basic problem.

Men have been killing each other on earth since the days of Cain, whether by hand or by object. The problem has always been the sinful act of the individual that commits the murder and not the object the committed the murder.

Unfortunately the liberals have to downplay and deflect the damage they’re inflicting to this society by separating it from religious values. You may want to agree with that line of reasoning but the consequences are obvious and will continue to increase.

  7. Correction:

Unfortunately the liberals have to downplay and deflect the damage they’re inflicting to this society by separating it from religious values.

You may not want to agree with that line of reasoning but the consequences are obvious and will continue to increase.

  8. I certainly think the gun manufacturers have a strong economic interest in keeping guns as marketable as possible, and that they have a conflict of interest that prevents their supporting any form of regulation just has Hollywood has a conflict that pushes them towards the easy route to quick money (i.e. peddling towards the lowest common denominator).

I don’t know about “blaming the US” – who is this “US” person I’m blaming? I know I live in a country called the US and that there is a major and long-running problem here in the country I live and am raising children in. Americans kill each other with guns at rates that are far beyond that found in comparable advanced countries. That is not a controversial statement in the least, what’s left for debate is usually about whether it’s 10, 15 or 20 times the rate, depending on which countries you’re examining, so really, given those super-wide margins, citing Breivik is like finding a welfare cheat that voted Republican once. It doesn’t tell you anything. I don’t have all the answers, but when you say that declining religious values are the problem, that doesn’t make ANY sense to me because these other societies are by most measures (e.g. survey responses, church attendance) LESS religious than we are. And here’s the kicker – our homicide rates have been in a long-term DECLINE for some years now, so if we’re really becoming less religious, it seems to be helping!

I’m all for blaming the perpetrator in this case, and would have volunteered to fry the bastard myself if that were an option. Unfortunately he took the easy way out. I do believe in making it harder for future perpetrators to get their hands on weapons that make such incidents so easy to pull off, and I have yet to hear a convincing argument that this is a mortal threat to liberty in any way, shape or form.

  9. “I don’t have all the answers, but when you say that declining religious values are the problem, that doesn’t make ANY sense to me”

Religion (whether Christianity or Judaism) teaches the individual right from wrong and the consequences of committing the wrong actions in life.

You see, that’s the problem that you and many Americans today don’t want to acknowledge because we have become a nation that no longer fears God.

We’ll all pay a hefty price for it, make no mistake about it.

  10. Homicide rates ARE on a long term decline. But even National Review (I assume that is a source most here will trust) concedes in its latest editorial that mass killings (in America) are on the rise (I posted some numbers about this in another thread):

    http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/335724/newtown-and-gun-control-difficult-response-charles-c-w-cooke

“[S]chool shootings, such as the nauseating and heartbreaking spectacle we saw yesterday, are seemingly on the rise — as are other mass shootings, such as that which afflicted Aurora, Colo. earlier in the year. As Ezra Klein has observed, “of the 12 deadliest shootings in U.S. history, six have taken place since 2007.” This is a separate problem. What is causing this is not yet known and probably underinvestigated, but it is certainly not guns. The American republic stood for almost two hundred years before the first school shooting occurred. Something is awry, to be sure; to blame guns is a mistake.”

True enough, what is causing the rise in mass killings can be debated. But there is no debate that they are on the rise, even as overall homicide rates are falling.

  11. Dittos. We can sit here and quote studies that prove our particular “view” for hours, but the fact is that the presence of guns doesn’t equate to violence any more than the absence of guns equate to a decrease in violence. There are personal and cultural factors that make up these tragedies, for the guns do not shoot themselves, don’t you know. I’m thinking of Israel, which is a literal armed camp, where school massacres occur when Hamas and Hezbollah are successful in carrying them out; it’s all in the mindset and not in the weapons. The CT final report is not in yet; but watch how the usual suspects are peddaling furiously to slap the blame on the inanimate objects.
