The Big Brother Brother – UPDATED

The Ulsterman Report, Hot Air and The Washington Post quietly reported a story with chilling implications yesterday:

“A cyber security firm hired by CBS News has determined through forensic analysis that Sharyl Attkisson’s computer was accessed by an unauthorized, external, unknown party on multiple occasions late in 2012. Evidence suggests this party performed all access remotely using Attkisson’s accounts. While no malicious code was found, forensic analysis revealed an intruder had executed commands that appeared to involve search and exfiltration of data.

This party also used sophisticated methods to remove all possible indications of unauthorized activity, and alter system times to cause further confusion.

CBS News is taking steps to identify the responsible party and their method of access.”

Who is Sharyl Attkinson?

She is one of the few reporters in the US that stuck with the Operation Fast and Furious and Benghazi stories. She pissed off the Obama administration in doing so.

The cyber security firm hired by CBS News has determined that her private PC was accessed in 2012, as confirmed by Ms. Attkinson herself through her Twitter account:

What exactly was Ms. Attkinson doing in “late 2012”?

Hot Air reports:

What was going on in “late 2012?? Well, that would have been the controversy over the terrorist attack on our consulate in Benghazi. And, checking the record, we see that Attkisson had a very interesting scoop on October 20th, relying on anonymous military sources that called into question the Obama administration’s claim that they couldn’t have responded in time to assist in the attack

The Ulsterman Report comes to a chilling conclusion:

“.. the real purpose of hacking into Attkinson’s computer was to obtain the identities of her military sources who were attempting to speak out against the Obama government. Take that information and add it to all of the careers cut short, and even worse, the lives cut short of those in the military associated with the Obama regime.

The luxury of hindsight gives us an insight into the ONE detail George Orwell couldn’t have known.

Big Brother is a brother.

UPDATE:

CBS News confirms Sharyl Attkisson’s computer hacked

CBS News announced Friday that correspondent Sharyl Attkisson’s computer was hacked by “an unauthorized, external, unknown party on multiple occasions,” confirming Attkisson’s previous revelation of the hacking.

CBS News spokeswoman Sonya McNair said that a cybersecurity firm hired by CBS News “has determined through forensic analysis” that “Attkisson’s computer was accessed by an unauthorized, external, unknown party on multiple occasions in late 2012.”

“Evidence suggests this party performed all access remotely using Attkisson’s accounts.

  1. It takes only elementary intelligence to figure out the most likely “responsible party,” based on who would be most interested in the information involved and on the sophistication of the methods used. If this were a Republican administration, the entire media complex would be on this like white on rice. CBS, however, is a compromised entity, and talking the talk is not the same as actually backing it up with action.

  2. “Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.” That comes from some dead white guy named George Washington.

  3. Is anybody out there? Does anybody hear me? (So begins a song from Starting Here, Starting Now by Maltby and Shire).
It’s all I can think of at the moment. Does anybody care about this anywhere?
