Special thanks

I want to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers back in September when I wrote about my buddy and his ailing father. The old man fought like the man he was until he finally succumbed to the cancer on Wednesday afternoon. He went quietly and peacefully and was lucid up until the last few moments.

My buddy called just shortly after his passing and said "He's now in a better place." As well he should be as he was a good man and excellent father.

We prayed for my buddy and his family on Thanksgiving and thanked God that this man's long suffering and pain was eased.
