Informaticos
That's what a Cuban hacker is called. The difference between them and their American counterparts is that first, they have to hack into the internet as legal internet in Cuba is cost prohibitive (about $260 a month where the average person earns $190 a month). Once they hack into the net, they don't send trojans or DOS attacks or try to scam your money. No. They simply hack into the net to do what we all take for granted: to find out what is going on in the world.
Such is the hunger Cubans have to learn about the world outside their repression.

Picture this. Castro wrapped in several layers of binder-leaf, finished with a nice Corojo wrapper.
Publicly lit, and burned. You'd not find a single anti-smoker in that crowd!
Ahhhh.... the fires of freedom.
