Tuesday Cubanism

Today's Cubanism is one I have not heard very often. It probably originates from the early sixties, around the time after the Bay of Pigs Invasion.

Cubanism:

Vamos a la americana.

Literal translation: Let's go ala American.

Actual translation: Let's go halfway.
