Kerry on Bioterror

Democratic hopeful Kerry promises to "sharpen the focus on bioterrorism."

Except that someone already got to the bioterror issue back in 2003.

A plan was put together called the Project BioShield Act. It passed the senate last month by a vote of 99-1.

Guess who voted against it?

Did he vote against it, or did he not show? I've read both versions. I think that John Kerry should be coated with honey and fastened to the ground above a large nest of army ants, but we should get our facts straight. Then, of course, we should coat him with honey, etc.

I think he was absent, so 99-0 would be more accurate. There were no dissenting votes. --s
