HR 4323

HR 4323 is a bill to amend title 10, United States Code, to provide rapid acquisition authority to the Secretary of Defense to respond to combat emergencies.

It's designed to give the Department of Defense the ability to have Rapid Acquisition Authority (RAA). This ability is desired in order to speed up deployments, make them more effective and to provide adequate protection and facilities for our troops during combat emergencies.

Three of the Congressmen that either voted against this bill or were absent are from my State. I know one of them personally and will probably be seeing him this weekend. I will bring this up with him and after I get his excuse, I will tell him what a partisan hack he really is.

Contact your Senators and help get this Bill passed. The guys spilling their blood over seas need it.

I'm glad I got that calendar from Kendrick before you started yelling at him.

Tell Meek that we're "praying for" him to consider resigning or voting correctly in the future, just as he "prayed for" Rumsfeld to consider resigning. Then buy him a beer for me.

May I urge everyone to not only contact their own Senators, but to also contact the one person who can get this out of Committee? That person is Senator John Warner and he can be reached by phone at 202-224-2023 and by FAX at 202-224-6295. It is important to do both, based on my experience in D.C.
