Los Chancleteros
I used the term Chancletero - a derivation of the cuban word "chancleta" which means flip-flop shoes - to describe John Kerry a few months back because of his penchant for flip-flopping on issues.
But in Cuban, a chancletero or chancletera is also used to describe a crass or vulgar individual. Which now makes it appropriate to use the same term - Chancletera -to describe Teresa Heinz-Kerry as well.

And yet, it's perfectly acceptable for Dick Cheney to drop an F-bomb on the floor of the Senate? Just curious.

I'm happy she said it. I'd have been even happier had she used Cheney's language. Some reporters don't know when to stop...

Val, I didn’t realize that Cuban was such a versatile language. I like it!
As for the previous comments above…give me a break. The reporter wasn't ganging up on her. In fact he was polite—the video shows that. She got caught saying something that McCarthesque in her speech and she as was called on it. She tried to deny it and was confronted with the facts...something that is far too alien to both she and her husband. So she stormed off…only to quickly return and offer a "pithy" grade school comeback of “shove it”. From her quotes in the past, that was certainly self restrain. She generally has a filthy mouth and is quite proud of it.
And as for Cheney, what he said was not in a public forum and, contrary to what is being printed, has been said more than once on the floor—by both parties. Yes, Bush said something too, but he wasn’t aware he had a “hot mike”. Just remember, it was the liberal community that made such a big deal about what Bush and Cheney said to begin with. So don’t whine or act surprised when Kerry and his wife are held to those same standards—especially after making a hypocritical speech about that very subject.
Had Laura Bush done something like that, they'd be looking to put her head on a pole over London Bridge. It's just one more example (like we need another) of the liberal's hypocritical mannerisms.

Ya saco las unas!
You know, I was actually pretty annoyed with her before, when she was so intent on getting little Jack Edwards to stop sucking on his thumb during a photo-op. I dunno. Seemed a little out of place to be doing that to a child that's not even yours. She just seemed to come off as some sort of control freak. Here's a funny rendition of the incident...lol http://cafeshops.com/JACKSTHUMB

Val, Kendrick gave the shortest convention speech in history. Did you see it?--s

Now we know why John usually keeps her on a short leash. Has anyone noticed?

She said "shove it" to a reporter who wanted to clarify what she meant by "unamerican activities"... I guess it's ok to question the patriotism of people when you're married to a Democrat but everyone else can't dare say someone is "unamerican".
And it was quite ironic her little outburst given that she'd just been talking about the need for discourse to be elevated.
