“Michael Moore and Fidel Castro see the world eye-to-eye.”

American college student Abigail Nelson, learning Spanish this summer in Havana, after seeing Moore's Film in a Cuban theater.

There was speculation that Moore's film would be disqualified from an Oscar nomination for best documentary because it was shown on statewaide Cuban TV within 9 months of it's debut, but apparently that is not the case.

It seems the Castro regime ran a bootleg copy of the film, thus allowing the film to be considered for an Oscar.

That is hillarious. I hadn't heard that.

We should start the "ineligible for Oscar" meme anyway.

Well, it's ineligible for an Oscar for the same reason "Bowling for Columbine" was, only more so: it's fiction, i.e., not a documentary.
