Frances is a Democrat
No-one knows whether we'll be hit by Frances or not, so I'm ready. Por si las moscas.
Come on, Frances. Bring it on, baby. Bring it on.

Well, the sun goes in, the sun goes out... It's stopped raining for now and the sun is half out. I turned on the tv to see where the storm was but I'm getting tired of the hysterical "OMG the wind is teh scarey!" commentary so I think I'll change ... [Read More]

Thanks all. It's looking like we are going to be spared, but, there's another storm abrewing. Im thinking of leaving all the damn plywood up.
homebru,
Even though I have made strides in my efforts to befriend the cat that owns my yard, it still will not get closer than a few feet from me. If it makes it the next few days I will name it "Gloria Gaynor" because its attitude is "I Will Survive."

LMAO!! Gloria. I looove it!
From what I'm hearing, you're probably going to need to find the hip-waders. Lotsa rain. Lots and lots of it.
Gloria could be the first on your "ark," right? ;o)

Frances is definitely a Democrat. Can't make up its mind where it's going to go. Probably waiting for permission from the UN.

As for the plywood, my sister, who lives in Miami, finally purchased those metal shutters, which are expensive, but end up saving you a lot of work and hold up as well as plywood. Considering you have to board up two houses, it may be worth looking into that.
