Blog Question

Don't you just hate it when your blogroll goes down? Isn't it like having a big ring of car keys in your hand and no cars? And then you have to take the bus wherever you want to go?

I'm completely lost without it. Now I have to learn how to use RSS feeds, which I was putting off.

I had blogger quit on me one time too many, so I got my own space on a server and cranked up WordPress. And converted my Blogroller list to real links on my page. I lost some of the blogroller features, but the only way I lose my blogroll now is to lose the whole darned thing...

I have an emergency hand-rolled bloglist, but I miss the recently updated feature.

I have my whole blogroll-code backed up into an HTML-only version, but when I use it, no updates show. Ever. And I don't know how to make it look for a pinger to display updates.

My roll is up, but I have no idea who's out to play and who's not. Waaah!

My blogroll's always been invincible. I hand-coded it when I was still using MT, and WordPress has all the management features built-in :-)

Mine's in the process of getting moved to WordPress so I can get the updates. I have kelley's problem with not knowing who's out to play and who's not.

On the other hand, I am visiting blogs I haven't seen in a while... (some of them still don't ping weblogs or blogrolling).
