Humble Pie
Served as a side to a heaping portion of crow?
Chief CBS anchor Dan Rather "apologizes" for "a mistake in judgment."
That's all fine and dandy, Dan, but then to state this:
"It was an error that was made, however, in good faith and in the spirit of trying to carry on a CBS News tradition of investigative reporting without fear or favoritism."
Takes real hypocritical balls as the statement is an outright lie.
Dan Rather and CBS News are lying liars.
UPDATE: As Paul states in the comment here: "I know sh*t when I smell it."

They were told before the story ran, albeit by their inept experts, that there were problems with the docs. They decided to do it anyway.
I know sh*t when I smell it.

The "mistake" was made in "good faith." Right. And Theresa Kerry is a svelte, demure schoolgirl.

Concur. Bull****. They violated their own rules, regulations, and protocols, and did so knowingly. They also violated the standards of journalism, and again had to do so knowingly. Wonder if enough of us quit watching ANY CBS show, even CSI that I like, if it would help move things along...
