Truth or Consequences

Well, it seems The New York Times has been caught redhanded trying to sway votes for Kerry by publishing an outright lie once again. Drudge states that CBS's 60 Minutes was also sitting on that bandwagon. And now the blogosphere is completely abuzz with this issue. What I want to know is, is this really such a big deal?

Has everyone just fallen out of the tree and realized that the Mainstream Media is biased? Of course not. Anyone with an ounce of sense know that major media, whether TV or in print, is biased. Everyone knows this. It is an unfortunate given in the equation. So I really dont understand all of the hoopla given to this story.

The mainstream media is biased. Big effin' deal, tell me something I dont already know. The mainstream media wants John Kerry to be president. No shit. You dont have to be a rocket scientist to know that.

What I truly find offensive and totally reprehensible is that the mainstream media thinks we are all a bunch of fucking morons unable to discern fiction from fact. Do they honestly believe they are doing us a service by distorting reality? Do they truly think that we are sitting here waiting for them to feed us their news slop?

Perhaps. But I have to give credit to the American people. Even with a remote possibility that Americans really dislike President Bush, they must know, deep down, that John Kerry is a liar and a political opportunist. It is plainly obvious. Those who support John Kerry for president do so at the cost of their own integrity.

So, here is my prediction for the election. Bush wins in a landslide because the American people are smart enough to know the difference between made-up bullshit and real bullshit.

The real loser in this election will be the mainstream media. George W. Bush will serve 4 more years as Commander in Chief while the lame duck media feeds upon the crumbs he will choose to feed them.

Truth or consequences.

I like your positive attitude - I my friend am more pessamistic. I will vote for Bush but I think there is an evil seed in the cynical and ignorant American culture. I fear that kerry will win because there are urban types that don't care if the multicultural enemies attack us. I live in New York City and I see morons all over supporting Kerry even if this city was attacked in 9/11 and can be attacked again. But the urban elites hate Bush so much - they like their right to have an abortion too much to see the real big picture of our culture and society in trouble. Miami is that way too - my mom lives in Miami and I have been there twice in a couple of months - all I saw were Kerry stickers on cars - Lincoln Road was a gay armed Jewish American camp for Kerry and MamaT. I swear to God - I even saw this Latino looking kid wearing a CHE shirt in Coral Gables! Voting for Kerry is like putting the match to the Molotov cocktail that is eventually coming our way.

Yes the media is biased - even FOX at times - the American people have seen this - we are deeply divided as a nation - its us against them.

If Bush wins it will be a great victory against Castro and the Hollywood types that love him! It will be a victory for Dr. Biscet if Bush wins. I guess the drug and sex orgies to celebrate a Kerry win planned by the rich celebs won't happen after all if Bush wins.

A Cuban American in Florida who votes for Kerry is like a Jew giving away his children to join the Hitler youth.

A Bush victory will be the ultimate FUX U to the CHE t-shirt wearing sanganos.

I spent a good part of the day yesterday fighting off idiots who fell for the explosives story hook line and sinker, so I'n not at all confident that people understand that the media is both biased, wrong and does not have our interests at heart.

I got more BUSH LIED! garbage thrown at me than Dick Chenney going to a party at Daily Kos.

The reason the story is news is that people still fall for it, every time.

The good news is that with more of us blogging we get to catch, expose, and eviscerate the lying media giants.

At least with Bush, you get what you bargained for.

I wish I had your optimism, Val.

Val:

I skipped through the previous comments. I have been thinking this for weeks. Bush will win in a landslide, or at least by such a huge percentage as to make a recount stupid on its face.

You are so right about MSM too. I skip through the channels and know more than these clowns from the get-go. I can't tell you how many wine corks I've thrown at the TV screen for their lies.

November 3rd will be a wake-up call for both MSM and the loony left. Some commenter said, "I love the smell of liberal meltdown in the morning. It smells like victory."

Okay, maybe . . . I just don't want to smell blood. These people are, in Tom Waits's words, "like a wreckin' ball no longer connected to the chain." I worry about people who can look at that picture of the President holding that girl, with a look on his face that makes you want to take him in your arms . . . and they would like nothing better than to burn his kite.

No way it's going their way.

President Bush said someplace that the one of the first voters in Afghanistan was a 19-year-old female. I wish I could say I had something to do with that, or with anything remotely connected to that. But I'll vote proudly for the man who did, and I'll stand with everyone who stood beside and behind him.

Sincerely,

Jerome du Bois

I'm not counting on a Bush win, much less a landslide, but fully agree with you that the largest loser in this election is the Old Media.
