Requisite Shooting in Fallujah Post

Since it's all over the MSM and blogs and everywhere else it seems, here's my take on the Marine's shooting of the "wounded insurgent" the other day:

SEMPER FI!!!!! GOOD JOB, MARINE!!!!

The MSM can circle-jerk on this issue all it wants to. Truth of the matter is that that "wounded insurgent" was there for one purpose and one purpose only: to kill American soldiers. He and his cohorts had all the time in the world to get the hell out of Fallujah. He didnt because he is a murderer and a terrorist. He was there because Allah told him to be there. Boo-f*cking-hoo. He was probably not even an Iraqi.

So, my take on it is simple.

F*ck'em. One less killer in this world.

Now let's get the rest of them.

Here's just a few bloggers taking this on:

De acuerdo, Valentín. One of my biggest fears, and I suppose that of many other soldiers, is to get prosecuted for not fighting a politically correct war. If that Marine felt his life was in danger, I have no problem with his action.

But I think this incident illustrates a bigger problem we have an Iraq. The US Armed Forces can't defeat these animals with their hands tied behind their back. I just hope our leadership realizes the Rules of Engagement need to be adapted to the environment over there.

From one marine to another, wish I were there to put a bullet thru the back of kevin jackass. Kevin better have eyes in the back of his head.

charles "the merciless" thinks shooting the reporter Kevin Sikes in the back is an appropriate answer for breaking this story.
I suggest you read the account rather some bunch of apologist bloggers.

My favorite Slim Pickens line: "the only good injun is a ded injun"

Mr Sites would be doing this country a favor if he were to take one in the head tomorrow.

Ge, thanks Guest. I guess Ill watch it again for like the 50th time.

You miss the point entirely.

You know I have read a lot of people burning on Sites, and I just don't agree. Sites is a great reporter, and he's got a great blog kevinsites.net and has been doing a hell of a job as long as iv been reading his stuff.
To tell you the truth I have not read any interviews with him after the incident nor did I see him on TV or anything, I'm just going on the history I have or reading his blog. That said I have to admit that when the story broke the first thing that came to mind was "kevin what did you do"
but then I realized that all he did was report the news. It's the silly whiners that see a story about a war and freak, OMG there killing people over there. No shit.
So don't be so quick to shoot the messenger, just because some crazies did not like the message.
My answer to this is for there to be more images from the war, so people get a real look at what it's like, and not just the 15 sec blurb on the news.
Grow up people war is hell

Turnabout is fair play.

Next building, send the photographer in first to check the "dead" bodies.

All I can say is "Semper Fi" to the Marine, and hope this does not get any of our people killed.

Posted by: Laughing Wolf at November 18, 2004 10:30 PM

I am certainly not in favor of blowing someone away because they are an asshole "kevin" or just because they have some idiotic opinion. However, what is a fact is that "our troops" are not having fun in disneyworld. They are fighting and risking their lives every single day in a war and those insurgents are there for one reason and only one and its to kill "our soldiers" so if they fear that their lives may be in danger or not sure if the enemy might be armed than they for God's Sake better shoot. What needs to happen is that all those media reporters that have no business there or are fighting any wars should have their asses sent back to the USA and let our men do their jobs. As far as I'm concerned, there is one less evil person in the world. I support our troops and shame on those who are always looking to find fault in their actions.

"Mr. Sites would appear to be in a unique position to shed some light on what happened, but he declined repeatedly to comment on Wednesday.

He did say he had received hate mail and threats since the broadcast, in edited form, on the initial NBC News report. A comment section on a Web site he maintains has been shut down because of death threats"
nytimes.com

It would seen that Kevin is to this point living up to my assessment of him, and he comes across as the kind of guy that would not only go in first but would rifle through all the bodies to get his story. He's definitely not on of those that sit in a hotel in Baghdad passing third hand rumors as news. What we need in this war are ten more kevins.

Don't watch the video unless it includes the footage of what went on outside as the Marines approach the Mosque.

The Marines run on Orders and Discipline.

Break either and a you are in a world of hurt.

That's the point, wannabe reporter assassins and Iraqi killers, and that's these Jarheads problem.
You may forgive them The Corps is a different animal.

"“Did you shoot them?” the lieutenant asked.

“Roger that, sir,” the second Marine replied.

“Were they armed?” the lieutenant asked.

The second Marine shrugged in reply.

Sites saw the five wounded men left behind on Friday still in the mosque. Four of them had been shot again, apparently by members of the squad that entered the mosque moments earlier. One appeared to be dead, and the three others were severely wounded. The fifth man was lying under a blanket, apparently not having been shot a second time.

When told that the man he shot was a wounded prisoner, the Marine, who himself had been shot in the face the day before but had already returned to duty, told Sites: “I didn’t know, sir. I didn’t know.”

What he did Know was that he did wrong.

Guest, again, you miss the point completely. Does the video show the Marine getti ng shot in the face the day before? No. Does the video show terrosist setting IEDs on dead and wounded bodies? No.
Does the video show what the dead insurgent did the past 24 hours? No.Does the video show how the insurgent's cohorts shoot a woman non-combatant in cold blood? No.

Sorry, but I for one am glad the terrorist got popped. One less terrorist to have shooting back at our soldiers when ninnies whine so long and loud he get released.

What were they doing shooting from a Mosque?
These guys have pulled every stunt imaginable, waving white flags then opening fire. They murder people in cold blood, beheading them on video.

They (the Sunni Baathist insurgents) have never done anything their whole lives except kill their fellow Iraqi citizens -both while Saddam was in power and now that they are trying to keep a new government from being formed. They don't care if their car bombs kill women, children, whoever.

They booby-trapped the whole town, to try to randomly kill anyone who walked in.

And the whole world is painting one Marine as the great Evil because he made sure that one of these rats didn't pull their crap on him or his squad?

We need to make something clear: We're PROUD of what that Marine did. Any US citizen who isn't should move there.

Here's another petition that supports the Fallujah marine and is sanctioned by ArmyTimes.

Sites knew about the terrorists left in the building and did not share his information with the second group of Marines when he returned to the same place. So a Marine pops a wounded terrorist because he "didn't know" and the one who did know buys himself a pulitzer nomination at the kid's expense. Sites also, in his reporting did not clarify that the terrorist was not a prisoner. Sites is a scumbag.

Kerry's actions that earned him a Silver Star was not much different from what this man did. Some people voted for him for president, pronouncing that his actions "in war" qualified him as being president.

That they now gangpile on this marine for doing the thing they honored Kerry for tells me that their opinions are worse than worthless.

Posted by: h0mi at November 19, 2004 08:47 PM

Kevin Sites was wrong to report this the way he did. In doing so, he has jeopardized the lives of numerous people and probably ruined the life of an outstanding Marine. Those terrorists were left alone in that Mosque for more than 24 hours and he doesn't know one way or another if they were resupplied, replaced or reinforced by other terrorists or any number of other things. It was obvious that the Marine considered him a threat by what he was saying about him faking he is dead. Kevin's "letter to Marines" on his website only shows that his intent is to fry this Marine for killing an "innocent prisoner". Guess what Kevin? He was a terrorist! He was firing from a Mosque! He was NOT a prisoner since he was not in continuous custody of friendly forces and therefore he was still a possible combatant in ANYONE'S definition.

The fact that you released that film to the world, unedited and showing not only the faces of the Marines involved but also clearly showing the name of a Marine on his backpack has just made those Marines targets for the most cruel and sinister human beings on the face of this earth and they will not rest until they get revenge.

I spent 22 years in the Marine Corps and I can not ever condone the killing of a prisoner or a wounded combatant who has truly surrendered. This Marine did not do that. These terrorists have been killing our Marines and Soldiers by booby trapping dead and even live wounded bodies and waiting for them to come by. It is obvious that he felt danger for himself and/or for the lives his Marines and in a split second decision, had to chose whether it was his life or the terrorist. He chose the terrorist and he chose correctly. By showing this film, you have made it more difficult for Marines and Soldiers to do their already incredibly difficult job. They are going to now have to second guess themselves as to whether or not they will be tried for killing a terrorist if it happens again.

Kevin Sites needs to be removed from the battlefield and placed at a desk somewhere where he cannot do our military any more harm.
