I’m not quite sure what to say, other than congratulations and welcome home.

Actually,I’d like to add a thank you..not only for you have have given to your soldiers and our country, but for what you have helped me to personally understand.

I’ve been a grunts wife for a long time, I’ve always known that it takes the entire team to complete the mission..but I’ve never seen it through the eyes of the rest of the team…if that makes any sense at all.

You have been those eyes.

The Soldiers from our task force are spread out from one end of the country to the other, my husband, in a just completed fob and prt in Paktika province.

You became the eyes of the team that brought them supplies, as well as comfort from home, you’ve been the eyes of those that protect them from above. Sadly, you’ve also been the eyes of those who bid one of our own a final farewell.

I’ll miss having those eyes, but it makes all of this a bit easier to know just what kind of men and women have my soldiers back. That means more than I can ever possibly put in to coherent words.
