Frustration a lo Cubano
You know, there's nothing worse than an American castro apologist. Tucked under the security blanket of freedom and rights that other people pay a dear price to afford them, all the while spewing the venom of propaganda for a regime that systematically and profoundly denigrates the individual.
The worse thing about people like that is that there is no way to have a reasonable conversation or debate with them. How can one make a person understand truth when that person knows that they aren't being truthful with themselves?
I am so frustrated right now because of a little blog encounter I just had with an American castro lover. I will be dealing with this in more detail once the steam stops billowing from my anger.
Damn, I get pissed by some punk in LA while Steve - bless him - takes on the Top Gun of American castro apologists.

Val,
Ignorance of the realities of communism (and just about everything else historical) is a prerequisite for being a "tolerant", "peace-loving", "high-IQ", blue-stater. They are imbeciles and I am not ashamed to say it. Ann Coulter -- God bless her! -- once quipped on Hannity & Colmes that "liberals don't read, they don't know history, and they're stupid." That about sums it up just right...

Val - don't get steamed. They're not worth your time. You're giving them your energy - they don't deserve it. If they are fools - they are fools. You can't convince stupid people to accept truth. They just can't. So don't even try. Being honest with yourself is hard for some people who have no soul. As long as you know the truth - screw-em if they don't want to accept it. It's their life. Let them go through it in ignorance. You know the truth. You speak the truth. It's all you need. The truth will set you free. You've done too much good this week to let an asshole bring you DOWN. A family in Tampa is having a good family Christmas because of YOU. That's all the truth you need to know. Don't let the turkeys get you down. They're not worth your time.

Yo Val- sorry for the long post - but here is something to whet your appitite on!
Keep the faith – yes, the world is filled with Castro loving scumbags. Read my rant, and below maybe you will find something I am doing that might cheer us all up.
“Frustration a lo Cubano” is my middle name! At times I feel like the astronaut in Planet of the Apes, or James Bond when they threw him in the North Korean prison camp in the last movie (which btw had a great Cuba part-go see it!)
It is frustrating, heck you live in Cuba paradise (Miami) compared to where I grew up and live - no, I am not in Berkley or San Fran but I grew up in NYC which is somewhat a Fidel lover's outpost. There used to be a lot of Cubans here when I got here as a child in the 1970s but as it happens they grew old and died, moved to NJ or Miami, or their kids became “too Americano” and are ashamed of being Cuba in front of their Anglo parents in law. However, we do have a somewhat decent Cuban community here that exists at times. Believe me we have our share of Castro luvvers here. We are home to Pastors for Peace, The Center for Cuban Stud-ies, City College (where I tired to study architecture) but had to leave because it was know as “Havana on the Hudson”. Plus you have whacked out Afrikan Americans, Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Central Americans, and South Americans, not to mention Euro trash who all worship at the altar of Fidel. Oh, and we have the most dirtiest collection of, perverts, pagans and child molesters and miscreants known to man in the Castro and Communist love festers – the National Council of Churches! Remember Elian?
http://www.geocities.com/nccwatch/ (one of my websites)
But, getting back to the story. Wayne Smith is the biggest scumbag on the face of the earth. So is Carter. And Max Castro too amongst a list of thousands. They should all be tired for human rights abuses - which reminds me of a little project I is doing - which is actually for me, for you, for our families, for those who fled Cuba and have died, never to see their homeland again, for those living in Cuba, for our friends who are not Cuban but love the cause, for people like me who never saw Cuba but one day hope to go there when it is free, for Biscet, for Marti, for Celia...
La listica (The little list) not finished yet…a work in progress where we learn of all the Castro folks…they are all connected it’s a sick web.
The list is for a free Cuba – when Cuba falls. It is a list that all free Cuban citizens should have – it should be posted at all airports, seaports, marinas, points of entry into the island for the purpose of identifying the Castro supporters of the past who helped bring Cuba down. This list is to identify them in Cuba – there will be pictures of the criminals where available – in order for the Cuban people to arrest them early on as they set foot on the island, to try them in a real court, to fine them, and to show the world know of the collaborators with Castro that made Cuba one of the most repressive societies in the world. And then when they are arrested and taken to the court they are promptly expelled out of Cuba forever never to set foot – and if they do well 2 strikes and your out! You get thrown in jail for life – or we let the people administer some Cuban justice by way of Texas if you catch my drift.
The organizations listed below have either acted as Cuban dictatorship fronts abroad or as supporters and apologists for Fidel Castro's one party tyranny.
The same applies to the numerous individuals listed below who are either agents or supporters for the Cuban dictatorship. It is ironic that most of the individuals (many who are celebrities) who laud Fidel Castro as a social justice giant don't realize or completely ignore the fact that Castro's egalitarian paradise jails, tortures, and has even executed, artists, librarians, journalists, scientists, intellectuals, poets, teachers, singers, athletes...and even ordinary citizens who are critical of the regime.
Lets start – not in any order…

MICHAEL MOORE
"The worst that could be said is that, in Cuba, you were in jeopardy of receiving free health care whenever you needed it, an excellent education in one of the few countries that has 100% literacy, and a better chance of your baby sister being born and making it to her first birthday than if she had been born in Washington, DC." -- Michael Moore in an Open Letter to Elian Gonzales on the virtues of going back to Cuba.

KATIE COURIC
OLIVER STONE
"We should look to (Castro) as one of the Earth's wisest people, one of the people we should consult."
MORT ZUCKERMAN (invited Fidel to luch with the press in NYC held a big party for him in NYC)
SAUL LANDAU - CASTRO AGENT
"[Castro] has brought a greater equality in terms of wealth distribution than I guess any country in the world today."
More from Saul Landau, this is an excerpt from an article by Marc Morano from December 17, 2002 CNSNews.com called 'Cuba is King'. The previous quotes are also from the article.
Filmmaker Saul Landau, an Emmy award-winning filmmaker who produced four separate documentaries on Castro's Cuba for PBS and CBS, including a 1974 CBS documentary with Dan Rather, thinks Hollywood's assessment of Cuba reflects reality. Landau rejects the idea that Castro is duping celebrities. "How the hell is he duping them? They've got two eyes, they've got two ears," ... "You don't have millions of homeless people in Cuba, you don't have 42 million people who don't have access to medical care," Landau said, comparing Cuba to the United States.
...Landau also believes Castro's detractors have exaggerated his human rights abuses. "I have not seen any evidence that he is a sadistic monster or a brutal dictator," he explained, adding that he has little regard for Cuban American refugees. "People in Miami who are running their anti-Castro lobby, are, in my opinion, not representative of the Cubans in the country," Landau said. "Cuban human rights violations take the form of procedural violations. They involve legal and political rights rather than economic and social rights," he added.
Landau did not deny that Castro's rule has included suppression of a free press and multi-party electoral process, but said like in any revolution, "they broke a lot of eggs" to achieve their goals. He also made it clear that he is no fan of President George W. Bush. "It's very difficult coming from the U.S., to imagine a political leader with whom you could have an intelligent conversation. Well, I guess you could with Bill Clinton, but you certainly can't with the moron that is in there today," Landau said. Castro has a "religious aura" about him, according to Landau. "When he comes into room, a wind follows him. He intimidates people by his very presence, he emanates, he vibrates power," he explained.

MARLENE ARZOLA
ccd@ccdusa.org, www.ccdusa.org
Outreach coordinator for the Cuban Committee for Democracy (based in Miami), Arzola said today: "We need engagement with Cuba, and to shift away from the politics of isolation towards more openness and dialogue. It's hypocritical of the U.S. government to talk about democracy in Cuba and not other places where that isn't as convenient."

In a recent letter to the editor of the Miami Herald, Silvia wrote, “As a Cuban American, I am outraged and sad over the recent recommendations [of the Commission for Assistance to a Free Cuba], specifically those dealing with a reduction of remittances and further restrictions on travel by Cuban Americans to the island. These recommendations go clearly against American held values and freedoms and against deeply held family values.”

I know what you mean Val. I moved from Miami to Chicago in 2001 and I was appauled at how many people wanted Elian to go back to Cuba. Que car*jo pasa con esta gente? With the exception of some scatter Cubans here and there I think all of Chicago is in love with el barbudo. Actually, let me take that back, most of the Puerto Ricans here hate Castro too. Thats not enough though. Every other person has a Che shirt. Every other person is a self proclaimed commi. And EVERYONE thinks Miami is some riot infested, Cuban Mafia runned corrupt political power house. (I think this is a self-projection, since Chicago politics are as corrupt as they get.)
Fidel loving Liberals are idiots. I was having a conversation with this one mongolica who was trying to tell me that the Chinese didn't come over into Cuba until after the Revolution. I tried explaining to her that she was full of shit. And when I mentioned that I was Cuban-American, she couldn't believe me.
You see, in Chicago, Hispanics aren't suppose to look white they're suppose to look like Native Americans who happen to speak Spanish. Oh and it gets better: since Cuba is in the Carribean, many people here think that ALL Cubans are Black. I then point out Fidelito is neither Black nor Indian but a white guy of Galician parents, and they freak out. (I also then suggest that he's a racist since almost all of his party is white, he's rarely seen in photographs with afro-cubans, and that he over-threw Batista who was a mulatto to whom he made racist remarks on.)
And so what else do I do? I buy iron-on paper and design my own t-shirts. Like I did one with a "Free Biscet logo." I'm designing a anti-Castro one and I must say that your F*ck Che has caused some inspiration, and so maybe I'll do something with that.
All in all, the Castro wet dreamers are mongolicos e imbecils who should leave the freedom of the USA and move in with their hero.
My advise Val, don't let it get to you. Limpiate tu C*lo con todo los amantes de Fidel... y quedate sucio. Ellos son unos "comen santos y cagan diablos" who aren't worth our anger.
