I am so bloody disappointed - Santana's one of the few popular singers I really like and I have always thought he sounded intelligent in interviews. Too much drugs and too much stinking Marin County, home of Johnny Taliban. Carlos, you really REALLY let us down. I am going to complain. Che is so so so so so so out and Val is so so so so so so so IN.

Well not all Amercan minorities, came out winning in last nights academy awards. The song Mr. Banderas sang along w/ satanas, oopss i mean santana had a nice tune, however but the theme, and song protagonist (che') disturbed me.
Hope the S.O.B on santanas shirt doesn't go down in history as he is being portraid in in this century.

Santana is a genius on the guitar.
And Banderas is a good actor...
BUT COME ON! I thought they had more brains than that. I'm getting pissed, seriously.
Last Friday, at my college AI-Miami International University of Arts & Design, I saw a girl wearing one of the All red with a black print of the killer's face. And later I saw a black dude w/ a green shirt with a grey print of Che with "Hasta La Victoria Siempre" and the I began to think "Wait a second, My school's color are Red & Black, and almost everyone is Democratic" and I was all like "Damn it all to hell" But Im majoring in computer animation so I got to stay in order to get where im going. Oh well.
Santana & Banderas (And all of America) should read a book on the Actual Che, eh... but what's one voice against millions?

I can't tell you why, but all these years there was something that smelled awfully fishy to me about this guy. Kinda like a rotten red snapper smell. It must be all that elitist and pseudo-intellectual tonic they take in the left coast that rots their brains and then oozes out their ears so they can't hear real facts.

I heard an interview on NPR's "The World" about the guy that wrote the oscar-winning song. Apparently, the director just heard his songs and liked them, so he contacted him. The guy said he didn't share a lot in common with Guevara, other than the fact that he's a former medical doctor who left his career.
Sounded like an alright guy, too bad his song's stuck in that stinker of a movie. And yeah, Santana let us all down.

Qu'e descaro!

Where are the fighters? Long Live Che Guevara!!!!
After 28 years of his assasination, he is still the most important "personage" of Latin America... and you know that.
Go and try to find a T shirt with Nixon, Bush, Clinton or any Miami mob's representative. None woud make it. Why? Because, young people choose their heroes, and can distinguish what is wrong and what is good.

It was not only Santana coming out as a total idiot but Banderas and Selma Hayek were not far behind. I guess these assholes are too busy with hair transplants and boob jobs to read what a murderous, cowardly piece of shit "El Che" was.
It is AMAZING that Banderas participated in such ridiculos homage (by the way the song STUNK to high heaven) being a close friend of Almodovar's Javier Bardim & Alejandro Sanz all of whom are very outspoken about their hatred for Castro.
I wonder what would happen if ONE of Carlos Varela's songs blasting the Maximum SOB made it into an American flic.
For those who speak spanish - here's an excerpt of one of Varela's most critical anti-regimen songs and probably one of the best ballads ever written in spanish.
Sovreviven prisioneros y acostumbran a callar
Lagrimas negras.
Now THAT from a REAL CUBAN who chose to stay and fight with his music. Now those are major COJONES!

Hey, wasn't it Antonio Banderas who was front row center at Celia Cruz's funeral in New York's St. Patrick Cathedral? I wonder, what the hell was he thinking about? Who knows, but I have an idea. Why don't we go into: www.santana.com & www.antoniobanderasfans.com and let these guys know exactly how we feel about their total lack of respect for those who have suffered under che?
Maybe we can even organize a burn carlos santana cd party somewhere soon?? any takers??

A little while ago I wrote about Che. The surprising thing is that unlike here most of the comments I've gotten are pro Che and all i've been doing since then is proving these freedom haters wrong. Look a "lm...", he recognized "most of the I ve gotten are pro Che". It is no the comments, it is the reallity. He have found the facts... and he wants it different. I guess who your heros are: Somoza, Pinochet, Batista and several others real killers well defended by USA and Miami.
Posted by: ElContrario at March 1, 2005 07:12 PM
To paraphrase Dickens, "El Contrario is a ass."
You call the Cuban-Americans in Miami "the dirty refugee of nuts and bugs against history" because we applaud when they say "horrendous" things about Che? Sir, do you know what the fuck you are talking about?
At the risk of repeating what I have said on this site before, I was born in Cuba. My family lost EVERYTHING to the bastards and murderers you are defending. Just like Val has said elsewhere about his experience, my life, my future, my country was ripped out from under me. Thank God the United States existed to take in the sad exiles fleeing oppression and the actions of "heroes" like Che.
You call Pinochet and Somoza murderers? So how do you justify the tens of thousands that your hero Che and his boss sent to the paredón. Those murders are OK but Somoza's and Pinochet's aren't? You are so typical of the left: just another blind idealogue and hypocrite who cannot see the corruption and evil that any form of communism brings to the world.
There are only two kinds of leftists in the world: the ones who want power like fidel and Che, and who will do anything to maintain it, and the imbeciles -- like you -- who blindly follow them wherever they lead.
Posted by: The Universal Spectator at March 1, 2005 08:39 PM
Contrario,
Where are you writing from? Cuba, Colombia, Venezuela, perhaps? Please do not tell me you are writing from the States because that will make you more of an idiot than Santanas, Banderas and the rest of the useful idiots.

Contrario, methinks, sounds like the irish lawyer of don feedo castreone.
Or maybe he sounds like Herr Goebels planning the dehumanization of countries about to be subdued. just repeating the same littany he thinks will make it true. Doesn't he know already that the Exilio has already been innoculated against that particular virus?
He knows about as much of Pinochet, Batista and Somoza as he does about che. Nada, zilch!

For these "appologists" of the Cappi the Tutti Assasins , "Che" I have a question.
Do you ever recall ANY other country in the histry of the world (including the Taliban!) were they had scheduled televised exceutions? "Paredon de las tres" , see 7 alleged -Batistianos brains explode like overipe Papayas, brought to you by Cafe Pilon. Now when you are a child of 6 and you are FORCED to watch this, you develop two very distinct self defense mechanisms. You become inmune to human suffering and you develop an unatural hatred to those who are forcing to watch such brutality.
So when I see people like Santana wearing that GOD damn T-Shirt I feel absolubtly no misgivings in wanting to put a bullet in his bald head.
That was CHE's lessons to all cuban children of the era "if it is in your way, KILL IT"

I SAY WE SHOULD TAKE SOME TIME TO PRAY FOR ELCONTRARIO, and the blind sided jerks that believe in che and castro. Maybe if it was his famliy what was put to death by che, his country that was kidnaped by a mad man, his life that was tossed up side down, maybe then he would get it. Or then again maybe not. ELCONTRARIO, Your in my prayers.

Hey Carlos,if Che is your hero why don't you talk to his son? He is a budding musician. Helping him out, man!
Oh wait, he has a US dollar bill varnished into his guitar. Oh, oh, Carlos. I don't think that his father would have allowed that. Better stick to wearing the shirt and publicizing your ignorance.

YOU PEOPLE NEED TO GET OVER YOURSELVES! LOL!
In many "Latino" homes, there is a portrait of Jesus Christ in the living room. Doesn't mean the family is particularly religious, they just like having a picture of JC around.
Guess what?
In the weeks I spent over there, I found MANY CUBAN HOMES THAT I VISITED HAD A PICTURE OF CHE!
Get it? It doesn't mean they're "socialismo o muerte" zealots. It's just their version of having a picture of Jesus in the living room. :-)
SO WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? CAGARSE EN TU PROPIA GENTE??
GET OVER IT. CASTRO WON. YOU LOST.
You are stuck here now in the states. Yes, the situation sucks for you. It sucks even more for those who are stuck "over there."
Time to stop wallowing in the past and move on. There are bigger problems in the world than your pathetic attempts to remove the bearded one. When the WTC collapsed over here in NYC, there was some brief talk about rebuilding them. But that would have been stupid BECAUSE YOU CAN'T GO BACK TO THE PAST!
A lot of you folks are under the illusion that when the jefe máximo dies, everything is going to go back to some edenic past (which never really existed by the way). But the situation over there is more complex than you or I can even imagine. I think you're all headed for a bitter disappointment. . . :0(

I have only one thing to say to all the "che lovers": one of the principal ideas of this guy was that nobody could have any type of wealth, 'cause that means power and they are the only one allowed to have it. That's why they took everything that didn't belong to them, every private bussines was taken from their owners and everybody was brought to total poverty. How can rich men as these two guys pretend to love him? I'm sure if che would have taken all their money away from them, the story will be different. But, hey, this is a free country, even the ignorant can speak up!

I know very well the circumnstances of Korda'photo of Ché Guevara, and the t-shirts are
pure marketing,I saw people on Street Parade
against the Irak war, here in Europe and in
Joburg,SAfrica,with t-shirt of Osama ben Ladin.and
by the way Who has said CSantana is a clever one?
He is so good guitar player and good musician and
I have bought some of his many cd,but that has
nothing to do with his cleverness,Personally I
think Che was, at first,a fighter in favour of
the dispossessed and have-nots in our world, and
Castro used him and finally encourage him to go
to a trap,a lethal one and after he has work on
create the Che Legend but tailored according the
Castrism 's interests.
