Humberto Fontova on Fox (Updated)

Cuban-American author and friend Humberto Fontova is scheduled to be on the O'Reilly Factor tonight to discuss his new book "Fidel: Hollywood's Favorite Tyrant." I'm told O'Reilly was trying to line up some fidel loving Hollywood celebs to debate Humberto on his show.

Make sure to tune in and watch Humberto take it to the Oliver Stones, Danny Glovers, Katie Courics, etal. for their support of the Western hemisphere's worst human rights abuser in history.

Gracias, Humberto. Kick ass, take names.

Update: My wife was in the kitchen making dinner while I was in the living room watching O'Reilly waiting for Humberto Fontova's piece when the gentleman whose daughter was killed by an illegal alien in Texas comes on. He talked for a few seconds and I hear the Mrs say "Hmm. Ese es Cubano."

She was right.

Two Cuban-Americans back to back on O'Reilly. Gotta love it.

Oh, and Humberto, te la comistes mi hermano. Great job of exposing those Hollywood hypocrites on national TV. Beers are on me.

Klaus,

The press release says 7 pm, Eastern.

8:00 pm (est) fox news network.

He was also supposed to appear on FOX & Friends this morning, but the whole show has been devoted to the tragic case of the (il)legal assassination of Terri Schiavo, the shooting rampage in Minnesota and the health of the Pope. Let's see if they run him at the bottom of the show...

Like the cockroaches they are, the fidel lovers scurry into the dark nether regions when the light is shined upon them. Did you hear Norman Mailer's quote: fidel is "the greatest hero to emerge since the Second World War."

As I said in an earlier post, this kind of behavior straddles the fence between dementia and stupidity. What kills me is that Mailer is a damn good writer. And did you hear that Chevy Chase denied he ever said anything praising fidel? As Dan Rather would say, "courage, Chevy, courage."

Great job indeed, but it would have been sweet if any of the invited would have had the guts to show up and get slammed by Humberto.

Just goes to show how little conviction some lefties have in what they believe in, no matter how misguided the belief might be. Either that...or they had the arrogance to think that it wasn't worth the effort to debate another one of those "right-wing Cuban fanatics".

Robert, I take offense at your characterization. I'm not a "right-wing Cuban fanatic"; I'm a "crazy Miami Cuban"! ;-)

Two Cuban-Americans and BOTH named Humberto - what are the odds?! I also picked up the accent and went, hmmmm he sounds cubiche! My wife said Mexican , I won !
BTW FONTOVA was great, I LOVED the "proportionally Castro is a bigger assasin than Hitler and Stalin" that drove the point RIGHT to the heart!
The point as to longest BLACK political prisoner in history being a Cuban dissident was also QUITE poignant!
And Norman Mailer is a has been trying DESPERATELY to stay relevant , I wonder what were the "demands" he set forth to be in the show, I am guessing $100K, 1st Class Ticket and a couple of young hookers!
As far as Mailer being a good writer , Hitler did some very stunning watercolors ;)

I would have preferred to see only one Cuban American on the show, Humberto Fontova.

The first Cuban American in yesterday's show was Umberto Garcia, who appear because some illegal allien killed his daughter.
Of course, Mr. O'Reilly tried to equate him to the criminal scum with his question: Are you a Hispanic Mr. Garcia?

Also Mr. O'Reilly confused Mr. Garcia's surname with the criminal's, Morales, when he said "Mr. Morales needs a lawyer, any Texas lawyer please call me". To him, Morales, Garcia, "Whateverez", all the same...

Neither he went into the motives for the killing, was this girl killed because:

1- She was beautiful and "different" looking? I bet my life that she didn't look anything like the women in the life of the killer.

2- Their social and economical position? I wouldn't be surprised if the killer targeted someone better looking and from a better social status to let his lowly instincts loose and ultimately to make his killing.

Watch and see: The so called "latin" organizations will find a lawyer for the killer and not for the victim's family. The fact that they are Cuban Americans is going to be mentioned ad nauseam. And a bunch of "no-kill" libshits are going to oppose the death penalty for that killer.

In the case of Humberto Fontova:
Mr. O'Reilly was not conducting and interview. He was putting on his own lips all what Huberto has said, without delving into particular cases or stories with Humberto. He interrupted Humberto every so often to make his points and I certainly was much more interested in what Humberto had to say than in the war stories of Mr. O'Reilly.
Why didn't he devote more time to Mr. Fontova in his show? Why was that segment the shortest one in the show?
I pointed out that in the morning the three breaking news stories were "enough" not to have Humberto Fortova as a guest in FOX & Friends... it should have been "enough" cause to have given his segment a better positioning and lenght in the O'Reilly Factor.
Enough said.

CB,

I agree. O'Reilly did the stereotyping thing by asking "As a Latino...."

I think though, the Garcia's answer blew Bill doors off and took him completely by surprise.

O'Reilly must have been pissed at learing on the air that Garcia was, in fact, part of the evil Cuban-American community.

Posted by: Val Prieto at March 23, 2005 09:10 AM

That was, Val, my favourite part of his answers...
He really got the old curdmudgeon out of base with that one... And I was saying, yessss!!!!
O'Reilly was not that happy about that... And I think that probably it had some influence on him watering down the interview with Humberto Fontova, whose book by the way (Helldivers Rodeo) I read in one sitting yesterday... I am just now set to get the book about cagastro and the libshits.

Posted by: CB at March 23, 2005 09:32 AM

O'really demenour is somethings so gratting but that is what you get with the guy. Humberto Fontova's time was so short because it was a packful hour . As much as my heart goes out to Mt. Umberto Garcia, there was really very little need to decscribe her daughters silky hair and almond shapes eyes. It gave me the willies THAT segment took a huge part of the program , and then the 12 year old kid going physcho on the school was another whopper of time.
I in fact was afraid FONTOVA was going to get bumped.
But HF came across fine. The main point in these interviews is that his name winds up in the experts lists and anything to do with Cuba or Castro he will be called to comment. I am sure he will have much more time to put his point across in the future.

Ha Ha I knew the Actors didn't have the Cojones to come to the show. I applaud Fantova for how he conducted himself. His time was a little short but in that time he unleashed on some of the Castro sympathisers: Jessie Jackson, Norman Mailer, Danny Glover, Oliver Stone, Chevy Chase, and Naomi Campbell. There were more but the time was SO friggin short. I want to include.. Antonio Banderas, Carlos Santana, Martin Sheen, Billy Zane, Jack Nickoson, Alec Baldwin, (And the list keeps going)I hope I can see Fantova in the tv again with longer time slot.

Sorry George...I'll try to be more careful in how I characterize us crazy Cubans! ;)
