How sad and heartbreaking!
I bet that all the libheads that love cagastro so much live in similar shacks in the holy wooded hills of Hollywood.
May they fry in hell alongside their idol cagastro for being accomplices in the assassination of a nation and a culture.

How come I don't see a rice cooker?

what beautiful, sad pictures. Thanks for sharing them.

You know, Val, it's funny you picked this pic. When I saw the gallery the other day this is the one that just broke my heart. Abject poverty. And fidel is sitting on half a billion dollars. (Sigh)

George, Val
The one that broke my heart was the one inside the shack, with the elderly couple lost in time and space. It was a painfully burning reminder of the sadistic nature of the tyranny, and reason enough to desire that cagastro is wipped off the face of Earth once and for all.

Thank you for the website. For some reason, when I visit your site, I am not able to see the pictures. It's sad to see the home where these folks lived. And whatever happened about improving the lives of the poor? It looks like Haiti.

But -- but they have free health care and 100% literacy! Free health care and 100% literacy... free health care and 100% literacy... free health care and 100% literacy... go to the happy place go to the happy place go to the happy place la la la la I can't hear you...

I made the mistake of taking a Contemporary Multicultural Humanities class at UCF. I had the professor tell me that building roads to accomodate motor traffic in poor countries was bad because then the people would be driving or riding buses to work instead of walking and "getting their exercise." I left each class session wanting to hit myself on the head with a hammer to knock all the garbage out.
