Rest in peace, right? May it be.

Porecita. Rest in Peace.

Posted by: yamy at March 31, 2005 10:59 AM

I'm still swallowing hard over the news.

Let's hope we all can learn something from this.

Posted by: Robert at March 31, 2005 11:26 AM

At least this chapter has drawn to a close. May her soul truly rest.
I agree, Robert. There are many lessons, and we must pay attention.

So sad...
Rest in peace, Terri.

First, the unborn. Now, the infirm and helpless. Next, who will it be? The disabled? The old? Down's Syndrome kids? People with Parkinsons, Alzheimers, or Lou Gehrig's Disease? People who disagree with you? Hmmm?

The left, in all of its incarnations around the world, is a death cult. In this country, you hear the left screaming to heaven -- elsewhere, I think -- to let Terri die. But Mumia's life? Oh my God, what a waste! Let's save him! Talk about screwed-up values.

What harm would it have done to give up the rights to be Terri's guardian and give them to loving parents and siblings who want to care for her? The answer, taking into account the fact that there was no signed, living will, is: nothing. It wouldn't have hurt anything.

Michael Schiavo and George Felos, "despicable" is not a big enough word for the two of you. I hope you enjoy your blood money and enjoy it to the fullest. Although, you might want to save some of that dough for use the next world, 'cause you're going to need an awful lot of air conditioners.

100% agree with you, George. Sad, sad...

Posted by: CB at March 31, 2005 12:01 PM

What a sad but hopefully eye-opening day.
How does a country get to the point where a mother is not allowed to give water to her child?
How does a court-of-law rule based on hear-say?
How can anyone in their right mind believe that dying of thirst is a "peaceful" way to go. If that is the case, I propose that all inmates on deathrow be denied water and therefore not have to suffer cruel and unusual punishment (Hello, defense attorneys). Why gas dogs and cats at the dog-pound? Let's deny them water. (Hello animal-rights activist)??
What is the future of the hundreds of severely mentaly retarded childrem and adults that are in state-run institutions??
Just my $.02 worth.

Joaquin, it's all about the money. Did you hear the other day that one day after reaching a positive decision in favor of Michael Schiavo in the Terri Schiavo case, Judge Greer received campaign contributions from Felos's law firm? No? I bet not. The left/death-agenda driven MSM wouldn't broadcast it; Fox, did however. I bet if you told the world that you would let Mumia or the BTK serial killer starve to death on death row as their death sentence the outcry from the libs/left would deafen the angels. CB said it best: it is very sad.

Caballeros,

Lets focus our thoughts and prayers for Terri and her family.

Mañana we can discuss the other issues.

Posted by: Val Prieto at March 31, 2005 12:24 PM

val-

i think you are right. i just think that everybody is upset and this is a good forum to vent their frustrations.

i think we should all pray for terri's parents and sibling as i am sure that this is an immensely difficult time for them.

thanks.

Posted by: tony v at March 31, 2005 01:08 PM

Val is right.
A prayer for her and her siblings, her parents and a prayer for us to be enlightened by God is all we need to do now.
Requiescat in Pax Terri

Posted by: CB at March 31, 2005 01:16 PM

She is in a better state of being now. She has not to worry about being starved or being hooked up to a respirator, or living within the brained damaged shell that was her body. She can now watch over her family. As for Michael Schiavo, it is not for me to judge people, but may Terri's death be on his conscience, and of the conscience of America. Who know's? Aside from the malpractice suit, probably she appeared to him in a dream stating that she didn't want to live this way. Then again, I believe since the guy has another wife with children, that Michal Schiavo should've handed over guardianship to the parent. I thought that was f'ed up.

Rest in Peace, Terri.

As my prayer for Terri and her family I'd like to offer the Kaddish, the Jewish prayer for mourning:

May His great Name grow exalted and sanctified in the world that He created as He willed.

May He give reign to His kingship in your lifetimes and in your days, and in the lifetimes of the entire Family of Israel, swiftly and soon.

May His great Name be blessed forever and ever.

Blessed, praised, glorified, exalted, extolled, mighty, upraised, and lauded be the Name of the Holy One, Blessed is He beyond any blessing and song, praise and consolation that are uttered in the world.

May there be abundant peace from Heaven, and life upon us and upon all Israel.

He Who makes peace in His heights, may He make peace, upon us and upon all Israel.

Amen.

All i have to say about this is a very Cuban, "que barbaridad!" Only barbarians would treat a defenseless in such a way with out listenning to the Church or "darle tregua".

This is not over by a long shot, Sean Hannady this afternoon on the radio was interviewing an investigator close to the case and what is surfacing is the following:

There was no bullimia as reported.
There was no heart attack.
A bone scan 53 weeks after her collapse showed the following trauma signs that were less than 18 months old:
Broken back
Broken ribs
Broken knees
Broken hip
Cracked femur
Signs of trauma consistent with strangulation to neck.

These tests were not ordered by the parents, but by the care givers after she kept yelling "no" and "hurts" when they would move her. Her husband was not told these scans were taken.

In addition, the paramedics that attended to her, requested police assistance because of circumstances that made them suspicious. But the investigations which would have turned into at least a manslaughter case, fizzled when she survived.

I'm not a judge, or a lawyer, but something here stinks to high heaven.

Sean Hannity -Now there's a real source of credible, unbiased information. LMAO

MWM, VW or BMW or whatever car brand you call yourself.

I bet you also think fidel is a reliable source, after all, CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, The NY times, Tad Zulc and Herbert Mathews thought so too.

Is that where you get your news?

I'm soooo impressed!
