Citgo goes to Havana

If those Citgo stories over the past couple weeks didn't make you sufficiently sick, here is something that will: A Venezuelan perspective on why castro's Big Dumb Houseboy over in Caracas is moving his oil company's Caribbean headquarters to castro's hostage-city, Havana. Our friend blogger Miguel Octavio, in searing terms, outlines just how stupid that is. What's worse, it is likely to entrench castro in power for years to come, maybe even after his ignominous death. If that isn't the worst thing you've ever heard, you need to wipe the drool off the che tee shirt you must be wearing.

Now, I'll warn you there are photos to Miguel's story, so only open it if you have a strong stomach. If you do, read it here.

UPDATE: Daniel writes about this travesty, too, making other points, and has a strikingly good map. Read it here. And Val's excellent analysis of what this disgusting thing is really about is here.

Again, where is the so called embargo when you need it? If there were an embargo against cagastro the Citgo down the road would be closed and under control of the Feds. I just passed by, and the freaking pump was open for business. And if Citgo is now in Cuba it's in part owned by cagastro (at least technically) and will be used to drain money from the States, and which is worse, as a cover for spies, killers, and terrorists who will be able to move freely with an explosive and incendiary resource at their disposal all over the American territory. Another danger is that Citgo then can be used to obtain intelligence (and eventually plan deathly hits) on Americans and Cuban Americans, and certainly cagastro is willing to do that. He is the same one who wanted the Russians to nuke this country on his behalf, after all...
I hope the US government takes note on this matter and carries out due action with the necessary force.
