This just in from Cuba:
This just in from Babalu reader CB who has contacts on the island:
Last night I heard word from "our man in Havana".... to his dismay, and the dismay of many fellow Cubans, Babalu has been blocked from the internet that is accessible in Havana through the electronic surveillance means available in Cuba, in spite of the so called embargo. Imagine how wonderful if the libs get the Congress to reverse the stance on the cash only policy!I happen to have a theory; the tyranny supressed Babalublog from some of the networks into which Cubans are able to tap because they were learning to much English, no, seriously... because Babalublog is doing a terrific job exposing the evil of the system abroad and providing a thrill to Cubans in the island who know that their plight is heard about all over the internet.
I also think that the tyrant himself must have had a fit while he saw Babalu. This is out of his reach. Everyday he is ridiculed on Babalublog. Every day some of his last steps is commented and mocked. And a serious tyrant doesn't like that a bunch of US Cubans - and Americans - make fun of him and more, that we share the fun with the people of the Island.
As if he didn't make a fool of himself everyday, go figure.
He rules through fear, and fear is no more. When people are able to laugh at him, when he is the butt of every joke his rule weakens. He knows that, and he would skin us alive if he could lay his hand on us.
Not today....
In Babalu we resent cagastro for enslaving our people and destroying Cuba, and we battle him in the field of the ideas with much success... It is as if we went behind him and pull his pants down, letting everybody see his sagging and hairy behind! And that's when he is not given an ideological wedgie in front of the whole world.
Another thought is that he is blocking Babalu because of what's coming in Cuba Nostalgia. He should know better, because I can guarantee him that Babalu will be seen in Cuba, as a Nigerian spammer would say, "by diverse modalities".
The cagastrosaurius rex knows that Cuba Nostalgia is going to be a celebration of the spirit that he has not been able to break, of the independence and culture that he has trampled and he plans to deny the Cuban people of the value of our support. After all Cuba is the only country in the world whose population is prevented from cellebrating their own independence on May 20th and Cuba is the only country that I know of where Independence Day is an illegal celebration and any gathering on that date can make you land in jail.
Note to cagastro: the final hour is coming. People fear you not, boogieman.

Is that a smile I see on your face, Val?
If only we could give el barbudo what he truly deserves....

Amanda, what he deserves would be a rum and ricin on the rocks.

Get a mirror site. This scumbag who claims to be against 'blockades' damn well better be made to eat his words.
Which amount to ... well, you all know what they amount to.
Break it!

You're the man.

Damn, Val! That tin-pot CastorOil might as well have set up a neon sign over your head--because his fear of you and your site will certainly attract even MORE attention to your message. Nothing would please me more than to see Castro's miserable reign collapse--and know that YOU were one of the good men responsible for it!
Keep fighting the good fight, hon!

Banned in Cuba--that's a Badge of Honor, Val.
I've really got to try harder.

I am so impressed and proud of you, Val. I just hope he lives to lose power and see it all lost from him forever.

I feel like we should make a plaque to commemorate the occasion. Good on ya!

As they say, the truth hurts. It's obviously hurting him. Good.

It has been three days. Where are you man?

Between you and my other friend at The Real Cuba, you might provoke the WC (Walking-Coma)into inducing a snap-crackle-n-pop brain aneurysm, possibly making him drown in his own blood. My only concern is that you might face animal cruelty charges, were that unfortunately improbable event to actually take place.
