A well needed blog break
A major thanks to AM Mora and George Moneo for such excellent blogging the past couple of days, especially yesterday's coverage of the Hugo Chavez playing possum ala fidel castro which garnered us an Instalanche. Gracias, Mora!
I took advantage of the day off from work, slapped on the sunscreen and went dolphin fishing with Steve. I really needed a news and Cuba and blog break, even if only for a few hours. The past month or so has been incredibly stressful and there's nothing like a little fishing to take you mind off of things.
Here's Tommy and me after our first catch, a five pound Dorado:
I have a slew of things lined up for posting this week. Tons of photographs from the Cuba Nostalgia convention with accompanying editorials. A bunch of heartwrenching emails sent to fidel. Descriptions of the video and documentaries we ran during the Convention. Personal observations and interviews with Convention exhibitors.
It's back to work time, folks.

Totally unrelated to fishing... But the cops fished another lib doing what they do best (according to Clinton Handbook of the Powerful Liberal)

NEW YORK (May 31) - Actor Christian Slater was arrested early Tuesday for allegedly groping a woman on a Manhattan street, police said.
Slater, 35, was accused of touching the woman's buttocks near 93rd Street and Third Avenue on the Upper East Side around 1:50 a.m., said a police spokesman, Detective John Sweeney.
The woman, who was not identified, flagged down police to report the incident, Sweeney said. Slater was found nearby and the woman identified him as the man who groped her.
Slater, who's appearing on Broadway in "The Glass Menagerie," was arrested on a charge of third-degree sexual abuse. He was expected Tuesday in Manhattan Criminal Court.
Slater starred in the 1980s classic "Heathers," as well as "True Romance," and "Untamed Heart" in the 1990s.
In August 1997, Slater was arrested after he allegedly bit a man in the stomach and threw a police officer against a wall during a rowdy party in Los Angeles. The actor later pleaded no contest to the charges and served 90 days in jail.

How do we know it wasn't purchased at a Miami fish store and then taken for a boat ride?

Nice catch! As my Americano fishing-friend would say, in his homemade Spanish:
