Emails to fidel II
I thought I'd post a couple more emails sent to fidel by the patrons of the Cuba Nostalgia Convention from the Babalu Blog exhibit for you reading pleasure:
First, from a Cuban-American woman:
Pronto llegara tu dia.(fidel, do not ignore the ability of Cubans. A long time has passed but not in vain. Your time soon will be over, because we will not allow the blindness you have tried to create to be prolonged. We are opening the eyes of those you oppress and showing them a better world. The world, and especially our youth will reestablish the right of all Cubans to choose a new day without you and everything that you represent.
A Cuban woman with pride, which you will never destroy.
Your day will come soon.
From another Cuban Woman:
(From here I'd like to tell you that I am very happy for being away from your dominion and that I removed my daughter from communism and my grandchildren were born in the land of liberty. I was born in 59 and did not know freedom until I came here. Die or leave and let that country be free for nobody likes you.)
And this from an 11 year old Cuban-American soon to be woman:
Viejo cagado.
(fidel castro, why are you an assasin, you killed my grandpa who was very young.
My mother wanted to like you yet she learned to hate you because you killed my grandfather. You shot my grandfather and that's what the Americans will do to you. I am 11 years old and my birthday is May 20th and next you will not be here. Shitty old man.
And from another Cuban woman, a short and concise sentiment:
(How sad for you that your death will be the joy of all free peoples. Long live liberty!)
The Cuban woman has truly borne the brunt of fidel castro's destruction of the Cuban people. Having lost sons, fathers, brothers, husbands and grandfathers to the dictator's inhumane whims for over 46 years. Yet despite their losses and pain, they are still the first to say "Aqui estoy!" (Here I am!) in their defiance towards fidel castro and his regime and are there, side by side with the men in their fight for the restoration of freedom for the people of Cuba.

How wonderful -- "¡Aqui estoy!" indeed!
My favorite is the "viejo cagado." She'll be a force to be reckoned with once she's of voting age, eh?
Beautiful baby. Just beautiful.

So, we have a new Punditress. She said it all, "viejo cagado"... Meet the new blogger of the right!
I am really proud that Babalublog.com gave the right frame to that young girl to say what she felt.
