We've missed him for a lot longer than a year. His successors, the Bushes and Billary couldn't hold his jock.

We would have invaded Cuba after the BTTR shoot-down if he were president. Then again, there wouldn't have been a shoot down if he were president.

between Reagan and the Pope we lost 2 giants. Its a shame that they were not able to accomplish all they did earlier.

A good day to reflect on a great man and the lessons he taught us that can help guide us today.

I dug up a few old photos of my time near President Reagan and posted at Mike's America.

Mike
On another island not ruled by a bearded dictator... Just a sleepy southern bureacracy that still thinks the South won the Civil War.

I was investigated in Cuba for admiring him. He made cagastro into a terrified old man in one night, the night of the invasion of Grenada. Which made many Cubans young and happy as they haven't ever been. Nothing like seeing a bloodthirsty tyrant cowering at the powerful thrust of the fist of Ol'Ronnie!
His words still resonate in my ears, the Evil Empire has been banned, the bombing starts in five minutes!
A half joke that terrified the commies so much that did away with the Berlin Wall and Commieland in a blow.
I miss him. I would love to see somebody banning our long list of enemies like that too. But fitting into Ronnie's shoes is not an easy task!
His soul's in my prayers!

It always amazes me, studying history, how it is always one person refusing to compromise their ideals that has moved humanity forward. God bless the Gipper.

i was in brasil when celia died, and when reagen died, and both got ALOT of coverage and respect when they died, especially celia.. brasilians give their kids lots of "pop culture" names, and you may be surprised to know there are more than a few "reagen" both boys and girls running around in brasil

God bless the Gipper. He converted me to his camp when I was a 13-year old, during the 1976 Florida primary. I knew even then he was going to become president and make a difference!

I supported him in his for the nomination in 1976 when I was 20 years old. God knows what he is doing, though; the country needed the four disaster years of cagastro's buddy, Jimmah Carter, to overwhelmingly vote a real conservative into office.

I was too young to vote in 1976 but proudly filled in both parents' sample ballots, checking the name of Ronald Reagan, just to make sure they knew the deal. When I finally was old enough to vote, I cast the first punch of my first ballot for the great Ronald Reagan.

To my dying day, I will always consider myself politically crystallized by that moment. I was Reagan Youth.
