Ay Dios mio...

Depressing. Just completely and totally depressing.

Once again, history teaches some people nothing. Nico.

the poor stupid is only 16, maybe in a few years he´ll grow some brains inside that empty coconut over his shoulders

Posted by: tommy at June 16, 2005 02:43 PM

This kid's a living, walking description of "un tonto 'util."
Hopefully, he will grow up and continue to educate himself --he defines himself as a student-- and, hopefully, mature a lot more. God knows he has a LOT more to learn.

He saw that it was impossible without some violence. This does not justify any of his violent actions at all. But he stood true to every one of his words.

Um ... yeah.

guys-

we are all a little full of shit at that age. hopefully, somewill will slap some sense into him before he grows up. otherwise, he'll just be another spokeman for the left.

Guys:
What do you expect? The pundits and m0vie makers like Redford are the ones who influence these kids. And since they won't look beyond what is handed to them this is what we get. They will justify che's violence, but not the violence against people that have sworn to end our way of life, because this is what they are taught. These kids will not learn anything until we turn the tide of education in this country through blogs like this and organizations like CAUSA. There are many so-called learned professors who share the same view as this child. It shouldn't be a surprise. I agree with Val, it’s depressing.

Funny he "disagrees" with a Cubans post(at BABALU) about El Che.
I don’t think I was EVER that fucking stupid. But hey.. I didn’t have 345 TV channels and an XBOX either

Posted by: KillCastro at June 16, 2005 03:57 PM

The little punk knows nothing. Pathetic.

Posted by: Cowboy at June 16, 2005 04:01 PM

I can't even blame the kid.
You really have to search if you want to find the truth about Che.
The lies are out there... Motorcycle Diaries and other crap.
Shame on Hollywood.
And I wonder what they learn in the schools about that POS

Posted by: Eleggua at June 16, 2005 04:10 PM

I don't blame the media or any of that. Your parents are the ones that teach you your basic worldview. As you get older you either reject it or accept it as true. I wrote a piece about it on Cuban American Pundits but my point is that this kid believes this stuff probably because his parents believe it. For some reason it makes more sense to these people that the U.S. is the bad guy. The country that accepts everyone's immigrants. We always hear about how healthcare is so great in Canada or England or France. Well, if it's so important why are Canadians, Brits and Frogs all emigrating here in record numbers. Cuz they're full of crap that's why. Our imperfect system is a 1000 times better than their imperfect systems. All of this meditating and thinking about Cuba has made me realize that there are a bunch of comemierdas out there that will never be convinced of anything. Viva USA! Viva Cuba Libre! Abajo Fidel! Abajo el mariconson del Che!

Well, when I was 16 I was member of Youth for Nixon. While some may say that proves my stupidity, at least I didn't have a crush on a mass murderer. I hope this kid loses his virginity to a Republican girl...

As a recent college grad, I'm sad to state that this kid's point of view is held by approximately 30% of the so called "well read" amongst college students. I only wish that there was some class entitled perspectives 101, in which some one would teach the difference between say gitmo and the Soviet Gulag; or perhaps between Bush and Che. Oh well, as long as post-modernists reign on campus there is little hope of any meaningful investigation into the real challenges which face the world.

I heard a guy from Quebec list Che as one of the four or five most noble human beings that ever lived - he named Gandhi, Jesus, Che, and who knows who else ("It's not realistic to expect us all to be like...!"), and I can't give more of the list because my gag reflex was starting to make my ears stop up.

Something in the last ten years has elevated that civilian-slaying goon from an idol of communists to some kind of general sainthood in the wrong intellectual circles. I don't get it. I really don't get it. Without his looks, Che was just Lavrenti Beria's less talented kid brother.

Posted by: Murel Bailey at June 16, 2005 05:47 PM

"Lavrenti Beria's less talented kid brother." What a perfect description of che!

Posted by: George L. Moneo at June 16, 2005 05:55 PM

So much blame to go around. Especially the parents, but our public schools here in Ca are awful, feel good, don't damage a kids self esteem by allowing failure that barely touch upon the politically correct version of history. It's sad and depressing. There was a time when all our children were taught the difference between good and evil. We knew who the bad guys were and it sure as hell wasn't us.

Yeah Che seems to be in the news more and more lately. That's why I'm dedicating my site and a good part of my free time to descreding that Argentine Prick.

Posted by: conductor Fishfan at June 16, 2005 06:39 PM

I don't remember being that stupid at that age, either. By the time I was 13, I was so over Che, I decided he looked too much like David Cassidy, so I moved on to Solzhenitsyn.

Posted by: Cowgirl at June 16, 2005 08:51 PM

The thing that depresses me the most is that the little moron is barely literate. When I was 16 I was reading Caesar's Gallic War and Homer. He can barely make himself understood. Kids today are total morons, generally speaking. Our country is so screwed. The only thing that gives me any hope is that by the time today's teens are old enough to run things, there won't be enough smart people in the world to actually do any harm, and most of us will, mercifully, be dead.

Posted by: Improbulus Maximus at June 16, 2005 09:55 PM

At sixteen I was reading Speer's Inside The Third Reich. Three-and-half decades of lefty control of the educational system and you get this:

Well I was just utterly chewed out by jcanfi2. I see what you mean, by my last post and I really should re-read it because I didn't word it very well. I do not ever praising Che. I said that he deserves more respect from those that endorse him and do not in any way know who he is. I show Napoleon respect even though he was a megalomaniac and I think that he deserves it. This does not praise him or his actions, exactly as I said that not one of Che's violent actions were justified. My friends and I discuss together about hopes of a future better world, which is why I brought up Che because he had an ambition and passion to make a difference in the world. A dream that he sought for. Personally I really dislike Che's last words, "Coward shoot me, I am only a man." That statement alone can show the disrespect for humanity.

Huh?

Chris, you need to get on a steady diet of Robert Conquest, Paul Johnson, Victor Davis Hanson, and ALexander Solzhenitsyn. While these do not cover che, per se, they do write about that life-enhancing and wonderful utopian philosophy he espoused. 'Nuff said.

This guy is a bitch. He only found out about Che like maybe 2 years ago - he is a culo cagado and doesn't even know where Cuba is on the map. He listens to Rage Against The Machine for God's sake - that explains it all. He needs to be put in a Cuban food ration line and do some time in a Castro labor camp.

I feel sorry for him

David Cassidy?
I always thought Che was some asshole impersonating Cantiflas !
And I don’t know if anyone recalls but the guy was NOT the greatest orator and his voice was a bit on the high side and kindda "breathy" so he actually made for a very comical figure. But ..
Didn’t John Wayne Gacy used to dress like a clown?
I think all mass murderers have a high degree of sexual disorder that drives them to become the pricks they are.

That link is BRILLIANT Mora
Thanks !

whats really sad is if you look at the "most emailed" pieces, this one isnt there, but #1 is "deep dark secrets of his/hers brains"... things that make you go hmmmmmmmm

Posted by: daniel at June 17, 2005 10:44 AM

Well I don't know Val, he almost sounds like one of your republican friends. Lets see if I remember. "whites always beet Latinos, and Latinos will beet the Arabs, because they have been rubbing shoulder with us whites"
Or something to that effect.
