What's in a headline?

You gotta love the headline from this CNN travel piece:

Guess who owns them now?

So quaint, all you needed was that charming French accent!

Oh how cute, the Frenchie wants us all to look at the "vintage" Chevrolets, Pontiacs, and Buicks driving by... Hmmm... I wonder if the frog also wants us to look at the starving Cuban children... Nothing says "REVOLUTION!" like malnurished citizens!! Quick! Somebody put a Che shirt on! CNN's here! Comemierda...

You know I think that Reuters may have missed their own news that KaSStro was taking back all foreign property!
My OWN information is that MELIA is doing TERRIBLE business with 70% vacancies (at least in La Habana) two other spanish/Cuban co-ventures the Triton and Neptune hotels have (Next to the Melia Habana) closed. So either the news wire got criss crossed or someone is lying.

you ever notice how cnn always refers to him as president? even in brasil they say "the leader/ president" and add the word 'dictator' right after and they have cordial relations to say the least...

Ah the Capri. It's last "Mafia" owner, actor George Raft, stood at the door when the recolutionary mob tried to storm it. "Yer not coming into my casino" he growled... and nobody entered.
The other casinos were sacked.

On Jan 1 1959 I had stayed at my dad's house in El Vedado. My dad's house & resturant were within walking distance to all those "mafia" hotels. I remember the mobs carryiing SLOTS machines , and I had NO idea what THAT was so I asked My dad (Who at this point had pulled a gun and sat in the open area of the restaurant just ready to shoot anyone of the mob that tried to make it in) I think my dad said "That is a "traganikle" - and I had this visual of the thing just swallowing Nickels ( 5 cents) it was quite a confusing little moment.
Then the mob started tearing down the parkimetros just wacking them off of the sidewalk and my dad in his VERY Spaniard way just said " La ostia coņo pero esto es comunismo !" (He had seen the same MOB furor during the spanish Civil war)
I asked what comunismo was , and all I got was a "dont ask"
