Coño, me too. Im working on a post about Cuban food which I should have ready a little later, but, man, it's making me hungry.

If you could have any Cuban dish right now, what would it be?

Un buen bistec empanizado, arroz blanco, frijoles negros y una ensalada de aguacate y platanitos maduros on the side. Y despues un flan followed by un cafesito. :-D

Dont know why but I've always loved dos huevos fritos con arroz blanco y una banana o platanito frito.

Think they call it "comida de puta",no?

Arroz con pollo con platanos maduros. Topped off with a HUGE cafe con leche. :-)

Unfortunately, living in Albany isn't conducive to that kind of meal unless I make it myself, in which case, I have to wait until I go to the city.

I just had a GREAT congris con puerco asao' last weekend so I think Tati's post just hit it right on the HEAD !

I also love the plain white rice /2 fried eggs and platanitos mBIEN maduros fritos.
Why do they call it "comida 'e puta?"
Cause it is a "quicky" dish ?

Masitas de puerco con limon con cebollas bien cocinadas, un arroz echo con manteca de puerco, Y una cervezita bien bien bien fria.
But the sad part is that my kitchen is closed on Fridays!! What about yours?

tamal en cazuela.....the problem is that tamal is not always available at cuban restaurant, so the antojo has to coincide with it being the day of the week that it happens to be on special. so i often an left withthe antojo. oh well. anybody know any good restaurants that serve tamal en cazuela???
