This is interesting:
Just speaking out against KaSStro does NOT mean you are against Kasstro....
A nice message for those who find it OUTREGEOUS we "may" doubt their intentions:

A very fine fisking indeed! Ever since I read some sheet by some leftist named Michael Shifter, who uses any and all issues on Latam to hang a hook on President Bush, I have been wary and disgusted with this Washington-Consensus outfit. A bunch of K-Street lobbyists who never get out of town and who are no damn good. The only thing they care about is blaming Bush.

As a matter fact - and it's a sad recognition - neither the US nor the EU approach works because the Beard always finds another way...now it's China and Venezuela.

And without those Cuba would simply turn into another North Korea.

What would work? Frankly, I only see one solution. The first poster has it in his name.

I may be wrong, but I seem to recall that Ms. Perez-Stable was a member of the so-called "Antonio Maceo" group or "brigade," back in the 70's-this was (or is?) a notorious kagasstro-apologist gaggle, whose members sometimes traveled to Cuba to "help" with "tasks" such as sugar-cane cutting and all that "solidarity" yap-yap-yap.

In another time, another place, no doubt these folks would have gone to Germany to help pour concrete for the Siegfried Line, while calling for "dialogue and understanding."

The (rotten) fruit does not fall far from the (rotten) tree.

Thanks Val!

Just got back in town and didn't get a chance to respond until tonight.

I credit Babalu for most of my "frisking" skills!
