Venezuela's anti-castro rebellion spreads

castro didn't show up in Caracas today, even though Hugo Chavez may have had the Popemobile all ready for him, along with military honors and perhaps the command of the army itself. He was supposed to come to sponsor the graduating military class on the anniversary of the great battle of Carabobo, which secured Venezuela's independence. castro didn't show at all. He must know how popular he is these days.

Venezuela's military cadets have resigned their commissions rather than hand over their nation's sovereignty to the foul barbudo.

Meanwhile, Venezuela's doctors have protested bitterly against castro's political incompetents, chosen for their castro loyalty in Havana rather than medical skills, but coming to professional hospitals in Caracas to rule the previously free, educated, Venezuelans.

Now, a group of veterans and unemployed people have gotten bolder: they marched into - into! - the Havana embassy in Caracas and protested the takeover of their once-vibrant country by castro's thugs. They didn't have a permit, they just did it anyway. El Universal reports:

The Military Institutional Front (FIM) Friday marched through the Cuban Embassy in Caracas to protest what its leaders call the "silent invasion" from the Caribbean island. No incident was reported.

Despite Baruta Municipality (southeastern Caracas) did not grant permits for the demonstration, several dozen people marched from Plaza Las Américas mall, in El Cafetal neighborhood, through the Embassy, in Chuao.

"We are here to protest against this transition to communism by Chávez; our President controls all the State powers, and following (President fidel) castro example, (he would) be restraining freedoms and violating human rights," said Antonio Luján, 51, an unemployed engineer who took part in the protest, AP reported.

There's more from AP here:

...hundreds of demonstrators protested several blocks from the Cuban Embassy in Caracas, burning an effigy of fidel castro and saying they rejected Cuba's growing influence in the Venezuelan government.

Dozens of police halted the marchers with barricades one block from the embassy, where the crowd stood chanting "No to communism!" and "Get out, fidel!"

Venezuelans fought a war of independence 200 years ago. They aren't about to hand over their country to the evilest dictator who's ever darkened this hemisphere, fidel castro.

This is getting serious. Venezuelans can't do much about Chavez but they sure as heck refuse to be a colony of castro's Cuba. They are protesting with unusual boldness and directness now. Let us hope that this will light the fuse for Hugo Chavez's and fidel castro's inevitable shrivelling demise.

Read it here and here.

And don't miss Daniel's superb thoughts on these events from the ground in Venezuela here.

Cagastro se cago de miedo que le dieran un cocotazo en Venezuela?
Ojala fuera!

Darn, and I was hoping he'd go, ride in the popemobile and piss them off enough that the crowds would go wild and tear him to shreds. Followed by the military deposing chavez. Maybe another day.

Don't you think it's weird that it's been three years since castro has set foot on Venezuelan soil? Really weird, given that castro and Chavez are so close and castro controls everything. He just doesn't dare show his face. But he's not stupid, (he is pure evil), and I don't think he's ever been mobbed by The People anywhere abroad who try to tell him what they think of him. He probably knows, like a rat, how to stay out of trouble before it happens. It's been a long long long time since he's been in Venezuela, his supposed New Battery. Chavez doesn't appear in public, he is content to just hog the TV channels, 24 hours a day, with his braying clown show.

Let us remember that Chavez hasn’t been able to strangle the Venezuelan people like THE BEAST did.
There were " no ¿armas para que? " charade in Venezuela so there ARE arms in the hands of anti-Chavez factions.

It is a well known fact KaSStro has as much faith on Chavez capabilities as a leader he does in pitching for the Yankees. So naturally he WILL be scared to show his putrid body in Venezuela.

As far as I recall, KaSStro has not left Cuba in quite a while, am I correct?
AND a lot of the meetings he takes with foreign dignitaries could very well be doubles..
CHECK THIS OUT !

That double was the one who led the circus in front of the interest section. The one that "walked" the 10 blocks in front of the people with 90+ degree temperatures.

Yeah, and mother Theresa was a stripper at Solid Gold!
(Forgive me lord)

We free Cubans need to demonstrate our support and help our Venezuelan brothers weather and defeat this attempt by fidel to shaft them.

This farce shows, once again, what a fraud kagasstro is and has always been. He's always been nothing more than a bullying coward. Like the typical bully, who immediately starts backing down when confronted with someone who will not be intimidated, and will stand and fight, this senile, malodorous coward won't set foot in Venezuela because the brave folks there are not so subtly letting him know they're gonna kick his wrinkled CULO if he does show up. He was a coward and a fraud at Moncada, at the Sierra, and now in his latest role as the unspoken Gauleiter of Caracas.

Maybe as word of this filters back to Cuba it will give ideas to the many who'd like to blast him into Satan's kingdom...

As for Chavez...as the great Satchel Paige (somebody correct my attribution if I am wrong, please)would have said..."don't look back, something might be gaining on you."

Interesting detail, Alberto. Cagastro has always been characterized by his cowardice. This is a perfect example.

He got "lost" getting to El Moncada, MY ASS!

This post reminded me of when I was watching C-SPAN quite a while back and the program was an East-Indian woman talking about war and poverty and terrorism in the Middle East, and how everything was America's fault etc.. The event was at a college in California, (where else!), and her audience was mostly academic types, i.e., professors, aged hippies and other leftist loser types. Her diatribe was against the evil and horrible United States, which was oppressing her though she was a foreigner denouncing the country while in the country, and would be allowed to keep coming and going for some odd reason, though she couldn't explain exactly how this was oppression. At one point during her rant, someone came up and whispered something to her, and she proudly announced that Hugo Chavez had won the election in Venezuela. At this point, the room erupted into cheers and applause, as if this was good news. I was simply shocked. Are they really that naive, or that stupid, or do they simply hate America so much that they will cheer for her enemies no matter how vile?

The anti-American sentiment is a combination of the WORSE that human emotions can put forth.
It is
ENVY, FEAR, and GREED, with a “touch” of lack of self-worth just to make it interesting.
There’s is the ever-present resentment that although vociferous about their disdain for the USA, they love EVERYTHING about the USA from the god damn blue jeans to the hair coloring.
And these complaining assholes ask themselves .. so why NOT in my country ??
Well cause in 229 years the USA has achieved what no country, nation or empire has ever achieved in the history of the world.
The Europeans look at us with awe and PROFUND envy. How did THEY do IT ??? , we have had millenniums and we cant get this shit right.
They had Elvis we have Marcel Marseu .. fuck this !

It is a love hate relationship that when you narrow down to ONE individual it is easily explainable by psychiatric means, (Take some PAXIL and chill the fuck out) when you try to find an explanation from ALL the ANTI-USA sentiment , it gets a little tricky.
How the USA did it is easy .. Give us your poor your tired...." we took it ALL in, and from that came out one GREAT potage !
What other embassy in the world has daily lines for people DYING to come here? Who actually moves OUT of the USA and goes someplace else?
So these twits instead of blaming their governments (cause that would be akin to blaming themselves) blame the BIG giant. A giant that came out of the loins of THOSE people who were unwanted and persecuted in their now shithole of a country.
It amazes me when I hear ANYONE speaking of USA atrocities, how they show a complete lack of logic and unbiased opinions.
Why is Korea free? Why is Japan free?
Hell why are Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan free?
Do any of these asshole realize the HURT the USA can inflict on the world and yet it chooses NOT to do it?

I just saw a movie with the line “I rather be feared than loved”, well maybe THAT is the fucking solution. Don't go for a global popularity contest. Inflict as much fear and pain as you can possibly inflict. Evaporate some third world country and then throw a couple of bombs on Paris. Let the French sing they favorite war cry “I GIVE UP”

Use the REAL power you have and THEY will bow their heads in awe..
Go Genghis-Kahn on the whole fucking world
Hell let them hate you NOW with at least a goddamn reason!
But.. LUCKY for THEM, they are 100% wrong about the USA motives and we are indeed a loving , caring democratic and FREE country, founded on pricipals of humanity and love for your fellow man.
They hate us , because WE ARE what they can NEVER hope to become.

KillCastro, You are dead on right. Just think, we built our great democracy on the human garbage of the world, and in their nefarious class divided minds, they just can't stand it.
