Hey - they've reached me. I know a lot more about Cuba and the Cuban community now than I did before I discovered this blog. It's entertaining as well. And I just bought the cookbook someone recommended recently. So thanks!

On this blog I've gotten enough amunition to allow me to mandar pal' carajo whomever makes a stupid comment concerning lifting the embargo or tourism in Cuba. Val, your blog has made me laugh and cry while keeping in mind that one day "Cuba Libre" will be more than just a hope but a reality. Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!

I am proud to call Val my friend. He is a daily source of inspiration and right-thinking that is sorely needed in today's world. A few months as you know I was in a sad situation looking for support to boycott a "Vacation" trip the wealthy donors of the Orthodox Church and the Mission Center were planning to take to Cuba.
I sent emails and letters to hundreds of organizations asking for support, Babalu and Paxety were the first ones to say PRESENTE!! I will always be thankful to you and your readers for all the support I received and all the waves we created! The trip was a total FIASCO!!!
You have no idea how much this blog has influenced me and people I know who are reading your blog daily.You are educating us on the issues of Cuba, the embargo and so much more!!
