Wayne Smith, the Jimmah-Cotta-appointed extreme creep who urged fidel castro to put up big glossy posters of Abu Ghraib in front of the U.S. Mission in Havana to retaliate for its '75' memorialization of imprisoned Cuban dissidents at Christmastime (try to hold down your breakfast if you can) is now urging the U.S. to be nicey-nice to the Beast of Havana. He's all appeasement. And there's not one word of reproach for the Monster At Our Door. He's only got more prescriptions for the U.S. policymakers, the very ones he undermined with his Abu Ghraib helpful advice to castro last Christmas. It has to be read to be believed. (Read Steve's savory account of this sorry spectacle as an antidote.) This guy and anything - anything! - he says, makes me sick. If you can take it, read it here.

Smith's words are so full of contradictions it's not even funny. He wants to lift the embargo so that the U.S. not show hostility (!) towards Cuba, yet later says he wouldn't lift it without conditions.
Exactly what those conditions entail is a big mystery to the reader. Maybe it's best we not find out.
By the way...what really cracked me up the most about the article is the group that sponsored the conference - The Greater Miami Free Speech Coalition. Those poor victims of daily abuse and ridicule by the evil Miami Mafia. Give me a break!
Memo to the Coalition - Your free speech is already guaranteed by the Constitution, you morons. And it's not like Miami shys away from speaking freely about controversial issues, right?

It is my understanding the Wayne Smith was caught in a homosexual honey trap long ago in the Soviet Union. The person who told me this was in a position to know it.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Smith fell into such a trap, after all, 'el se ha estado dando la lengua con fidel a trav'es de tantos a~nos... (he's been trading French kisses with fidel over so many years)...
Maybe when the changes finally come to Cuba, we all might get to see the videotapes in the G-2 archives, as happened with the Stasi in East Germany.
And then we can ask Smith for a comment. Thoroughly sickening dude that he is.

castro probably has compromising videos of wayne smith, jesse jackson, steven spielberg and many, many others! That is one way he assures himself of favorable coverage in the USA.
