El peor enemigo

The worst enemy.

Wanna see a couple of fidel castro's worst enemies?

This guy. And this guy. And this guy. And this guy. And her. And let's not forget this guy. This guy. Here's another. And another. Her too. Him. And her.

And every single other person out there that spreads the truth.

It's an honor to be on castro's worst enemy list.

I am honored and humbled for being in that list, with all of you!

That's great, but where is the big media? CNN or FoxNews, Miami Herald or Wall Street Journal. Blogs are great, but it's not enough.

The situation in Cuba could be nearing its tipping point. The Cuban people are beginning to lose thier fear, and fidel is starting to act scared. When is the last time he gave a 26th of July speech indoors, attended only by invitees?

The last couple times Cuba has been a pressure cooker was in 1980 and 1994. In both cases he released pressure by letting the "gusanos" leave in mass exodus, and having the luck of a Democrat president in office at the time(Carter and Clinton).

That was then, now a Republican is in the White House; thanks to the Cuban American vote in 2000. Fidel's never really seriously tested a Republican president since at least before Reagan. He wouldn't dare. Bush has already said that he would consider a mass exodus as an act of war. All fidel does and will continue to do is throw out insults, but he won't go beyond that; he knows the consequences.

The dissidents in Cuba need outside pressure. The dissidents will only grow stronger with world attention. Let's help them.

Maybe I'm being optimistic, and it will all be in vain, but it's still worth a try. Marta Beatriz Roque and the other dissidents have said they will continue with their quest for a free Cuba. Let's help them.

Val, you're in a unique position to lead. What can we do to help?

You honour me beyond my worth, putting me in such exalted company.

All I can say is thank you and hope that I can live up to your confidence.

Thanks, val.

I think the blogs make a difference in that they keep the media honest (or more honest). The 60 Minutes II affair proves that there's a 5th estate and that the members of the 4th estate need to watch out.

And you too, Val; and Jorge of therealcuba.com; and Juan of Paxety Pages; and Carlos Alberto Montaner with Firmas Press - and many others. God bless you all for all the good things that you do.

Knowledge is power. Knowledge of the truth is the most powerful thing on earth - because, as God promises, the truth shall set you free. Keep spreading and speaking truth to power. For the sake of the enslaved.
