The Indoctrination of the American Negro - Cuban Style.
Please drop by the Black Informant read this excellent essay and and lend him your support. I had told Duane some time ago just how much I appreciate his support and understanding of the Cuban issues and am a firm believer in the fact that if there is one culture or race that should stand in solidarity with the plight of the Cuban people, it is the African-American.
Gracias, Duane. You made my day, man.

Excellent essay.
I have an observation, though, General Ochoa was not black. He commanded black soldiers in Angola, as part of a cadre of white officers.

Thanks for brining this essay to our attention. Great piece! In Washington D.C. we are constantly trying to show the Congressional Black Caucus the Cuban reality for millions of Black Cubans. A country were 80 percent of the population is black, and its government hierarchy is 99 percent white. They just say things aren't that much better in the U.S., but you have some members, like Rep. Butterfield, who are getting the message... If any one doesn't know about the crap the Congressional Black Caucus (specifically members of the New York Delegation) thinks here is a great article by Megan Clyne of the New York Sun - http://www.nysun.com/article/13917
