Pre-Katrina blogging

Like staring at a car wreck, we have the local news on with their hurricane coverage. Lots of lipservice being given to the MTV Video Music Awards that are supposed to taking place this weekend.

Apparently, this year's theme is water and they had all these pre-event parties scheduled to be happening. All of them have been canceled. South Beach footage shows a desolate Ocean Drive.

My question is, how long before one of P Diddy's cohorts blames Bush for the storm?

I'm just glad you're still posting, Val. Looks like the Florida Flash And Flicker is still going - for now.

"Latest Hurricane Katrina News" Hurricane PARTY at ManCamp. 'BYOB"

Posted by: yamy at August 25, 2005 01:46 PM

dude-

it's Diddy now. No longer P-Diddy. MTV will probably run back to LA because of the Huricanes which are supposedly more frequent because of the supposed Global Warming which they do blame on Bush. So there is your connection......

Have a good one and be safe.

Nah!
It's the *embargo's* fault!
Everyone --or *almost* everyone-- knows that... :)
Good luck down there, dealing with the latest hurricane, South Floridians!
May the Force (or the plywood, or *whatever*) be with ya!

¡Es la culpa de la mafia de Miami!

No, I'm pretty sure it's Pat Robertson's fault!

To all exiles from Man Camp, and you know who you are, storm cam?

Posted by: Kathleen at August 25, 2005 02:54 PM

Yes!
Turn on that Mancamp videocam and *show us* how *real men --and women-- under hurricane duress behave** --when the storm chips are down.
And boy, am I glad I had the top 25% of my avocado and my sapodilla trees in my *home* in Miami (yes, even though I *live* in Maryland, *home* is in Miami!) trees trimmed down a few weeks ago!
Our prayers *are* with you, Floridanos!
