CBS - The castro Broadcasting System
It's no secret that CBS News and 60 Minutes especially have had their share of controvercies regarding their journalistic responsiblilities and integrity.
A. M. Mora y Leon posted about CBS's use of castro personnel for this past Sunday's segment on Elian Gonzalez. Last year, in the run up to the election, there was Rathergate, the story broken by the blogosphere after noticing the use of fake documents to discredit President Bush and the cause of Dan "I Love fidel" Rather's rather abrupt retirement. No one will ever really know what and how many liberties CBS, and by default their MSM brethren, have taken with truth in journalism and not been caught red handed. (Pun deliciously indented.) Who knows how long it's been going on.
Apparently, the manipulation of data, witnesses and interviewees is commonplace in the MSM. Old hat as they say. And through this manipulation, the MSM controls not only public opinion, but policy. Here's a short video produced by filmmaker Agustin Blazquez, (producer of various Cuba related documentaries including "The Rats Below") with a first hand account of the practices of Dan Rather and 60 Minutes, etal:
I must warn you though, viewing the following will take COURAGE!(Please be patient, long download.)

CBS = Castro Broadcasting System - BRILLIANT!
Now let me reach for me Guinness before I watch the broadcast - ease the pain and all that sort of thing...

Dedicated to those who doubt that communists and islamists can form alliances:
Chavez praises Khomeinist revolution and sees similarities to Islamic and Bolivarian "revolutions"

What a cluster f**k the Elian Gonzales thing was with the troll of an AG telling us about the law... feh.
This was a sad day for the United States and the people of Cuba.
Glad to hear (well, sort of) that someone in the know had the guts to speak out; albet too little and too late.

I bought the DVD. Very good and important information.
But the quality and production of the film is
atrocious.
The people that really need to see this would criticize it
for all the wrong reasons.
Nevertheless, it is very useful information that answered some troubling questions for me regarding the whole Elian case.
