Knee-slapping castroite humor

Naturally, it's mirthless and creepy. I just got an email from someone staying at the Caracas Hilton hotel in Venezuela. My correspondent writes:

About an hour ago there, at 6 p.m., Carlos Lage, the vice president of Cuba, showed up at the Hilton and hyuk, hyuk, remarked that he'd been hearing that there were people saying that Cuba was not a democracy. "Well, it's the most democratic country in the world," Lage claimed. "We are the most democratic because we have two presidents. fidel castro and Hugo Chavez."

Haw haw haw.

My Venezuelan correspondent who witnessed this adds: "Draw your own appropriate conclusions."

More like Hee-Haw! Since we're dealing with 2 toxic jackasses here. Lage is such a funny man - Jay Leno oughta have him make a guest appearance. Suggested venue: Tower Theater, Miami. It would be a night to remember.
