Important Havana hurricane photos

Our fine friends at Killcastro.com have significant new collections of photos documenting the extent of damage from Hurricane Wilma in Cuba. These look like mostly firsthand photos from authentic sources inside Cuba, making them an important part of the historical record. You will see the horror of castrodom in all its photographic ignominy and wonder how anyone on earth could defend such a monster who could do such damage to a country as he has, damage that looks even worse than what the hurricane itself wrought. What ruins! The photos are original and will move you.

Don't miss these photographs here, here, here, here, here and here.

UPDATE: Thanks to Dean of the prestigious Dean's World for the link!

Thanks Mora.... indeed, many of them have been generously sent to us by "connected" friends inside the island, we are glad to share them!

I saw these pictures at Killcastro and was wondering why no one had noticed them!! they are unbelievable!! the horror, the devastation, the total failure of that system, and the force of Mother Nature just washing it all away.....

killcastro.com -- the style of that!

Carmen: I knew about the photos but the problem is, I can't open the site at work. Some program we have there that gives me this 'militant and extremist' screen whenever I try to open it. I wish Websense, which makes this judgment, woule use some common sense. I can certainly open the Tamil Tigers' Web site at work, and the AUC and ELN terrorists of Colombia. Those three are all REAL terrorist organizations but Websense lets me openn those. But killcastro I cannot open. It just goes to show the problem with either a machine or programmers who don't know jack about real extremists. So, I have to wait until I get home and I didn't have time till yesterday night.

Should we feel honored?
That's evidently a sample the workings from the left, in their effort to control the information!

Posted by: CB at October 30, 2005 08:09 AM

I don't think they're left. I think they're just dumb.

Posted by: A.M. Mora y Leon at October 30, 2005 09:48 AM

Aren't dumb and left interchangeable?
I seen more bright conservatives that bright libs or lefties. The conservative argues with reasoning, the lefty screams.... In the case that they are just dumb there's a lot of hopes then. They can always wise themselves up!
A liberlefty can't. The scream of Howard Dean resounds too loud inside their heads.

LOL!!! Good one, CB!

Mora, that's my sick sense of humour developed in Cuba. Thanks to Dean for the link, it's our link too by proxy. Thanks to both, again.

"The conservative argues with reasoning, the lefty screams...."

That's the funniest thing I've read in a long time. Thanks.

Mora,

What's "websense"? Is it a filter for public offices?

Posted by: Fielding at October 30, 2005 07:09 PM

Thanks Fielding... It's funny, but it becomes funnier when one sees the veins of a liberal taking garden hose proportions!

Posted by: CB at October 30, 2005 07:17 PM

Fielding: It's a company whose sole purpose seems to be filtering Web sites for workplaces.

Posted by: A.M. Mora y Leon at October 30, 2005 09:43 PM

We also have websense at my workplace. You can spend hours on Al-Jazeera, moveon.org, etc. but Killcastro? No, that is filtered out. It's not smart software.

Thank you all:

Especially for the photos of the Blanquita. The last time I was there it was involuntary, there were dead nachine gunned prisoners adorning the lobby.

Take care and be well

I like those crazy Cubans at Killcastro.com

The "I'm right...if you don't agree with me you are wrong...and that's the way it is 'cause I say so" attitude is really refreshing.

Posted by: nurian at October 31, 2005 02:56 PM

Thanks Nurian, that's a beautiful compliment!

You're welcome! It is the best way to handle certain people.

I understand that we need to listen to opinions that are contrary to ours, but once we do that and we realise they are wrong, there is no need to keep wasting our time ;)
