That's what it's called the two pronged attack!

If the American embargo is making it impossible for anyone to buy goods there, where did they get Windows XP? And some high definition monitors too, I see. SOMEone is selling gear to Cuba after all...

I love it. You should post a love letter to whoever is monitoring your blogs.

I am glad to tell you that we have four kinds of readers, Anticagastro Cubans, the international press, the diplomatic corps, and of course the repressive forces... The invasion is a fact, we are already a presence there.

Val,
During the first nine months of this year, my website had 5,001 visitors from Cuba and 51,684 hits. Yeah, they are monitoring the opposition.

If you want to see all the computer equipment that is being sold in Cuba click here:

One thing that I cannot understand is how they can offer the same warranty that is available in the US and also service by the manufacturer, including CISCO.

Anita Snow is ok, we don't hate her.

She might even come here for a respite from all the communism she's subject to. I'm sure Vanessa Bauza just loves it, but Anita doesn't put too much opinion in her work. If she has a side, she doesn't disclose it. Vanessa Bauza she is not.

On the other hand, maybe it's one of her communist 'minders' using her computer. I knew a correspondent in Hanoi and a correspondent in Beijing and the both of them were stuck with such people. I used to know the minder in back in college and would watch how she'd rifle through my correspondent friend's things in the tiny Hanoi newsroom. It was weird.

When they're watching you, they're worried. This is what validates all the effort you guys (and gals) put into these blogs. Spreading truth through irrefutable facts and logic is the equivalent of dousing a festering wound with peroxide.
