Beyond foul...
You might have thought only Canadians breeded this type but you'd be wrong. Over in Australia, they've got even bigger, uglier, scarier of such species.
This creature belongs under glass in a buggery to be dissected by scientists with strong stomachs. I can't ever recall reading about anyone quite so repulsive. Australia, where it's from, is home of more poisonous creatures on earth - and this ... thing ... certainly doesn't resemble the heroic HUMAN Australians we know. The castro loving insect gushes it all out here:
Night with fidel
By BRUCE McDOUGALL Political Reporter

CAREER "leftie" and Parliamentary boss Meredith Burgmann has revealed she spent part of the winter recess with Cuban dictator fidel castro.
But as globetrotting State MPs refuse to discuss their world trips, the President of the Legislative Council makes no apology for travelling to Havana at Cuba's expense – or engaging with the dictator.
She was "invited" by the Cuban Government to attend an "anti-terrorism" conference in June, cementing ties with the Communist state dating back to 1984 when she "helped" castro break the US-imposed trade "blockade."
"I spent 36 hours in a room with him (castro) . . . he was charismatic and funny," Ms Burgmann gushed to The Daily Telegraph.
"You talk about me as loving Communist dictators . . . (former Australian Foreign Minister) Gareth Evans once spent five hours sitting in a car park waiting to meet him (castro),' she said.
Sandalista that she is, Ms Burgmann also met and was photographed with former Sandinista commander and Nicaraguan dictator Daniel Ortega.

I couldn't stand to look at it - I had to shrink the picture
Naturally, I consulted Tex's site over at Whacking Day for the lowdown on this specimen and he advised it was: typical west-hating anti-war gasbag among other things in a run-in with it over Iraq back in 2003. He's heard of it.

[...] she helped castro break the US-imposed trade blockade.Funny, last time I checked the U.S. still has an embargo in place ('blockade' is one of the favourite fantasies of the Left).
Exactly what sort of 'help' was she giving here?

I'm wondering about the 36 hours in a room with castro. Did that place stink or what?

Now in joint charge of 850 parliamentary employees in Macquarie St, she regards her role as the "Foreign Minister for NSW".
This sort of state foreign policy crap pissed me off plenty enough when my bosses in the Florida House tried to pull it (well-intentioned as they usually were, of course), but she obviously takes it to entirely different level. Australia's a federal country, like the US, and like in the US, foreign policy is an exclusively federal matter. New South Wales, like Quebec, can have a foreign policy of its own the day it becomes an independent country.

I don't get it, how could anyone stand to be in the same room with him? They are either incredibly stupid or very very evil. Either way, sickening.

Leftist groupie. There are tons of those around... mainly '60's brainwashed leftovers. They fawn over machista dictators.
Really disgusting.

Obviously a sado-masochist 'ho. If she hates herself so much, she should be reminded that "suicide is painless..."

Babalu readers, Do you know what is so great about this country? Well the greatest part of this country is that you have the right to express your self as you please ( in a law abiding manner) So why is it that when a person supports some ones theory you guys bash them? Everyone is entitled to the opinions with out being bashed or disrespected. I have experienced disrespect on this site and when I go to protect my self you guys try to ban me from the site. Why is this? George don't get offended when some one puts you in your place. This is the reason I can not vote for Babalu. I have been spreading the word why I haven't voted in your favor and many people agree with me. Sorry, I would love for my people to win, but not in the manner you go about dictitating this website.

new to this,
I could give a rats ass whether you voted for thsi site or not. See, this is MY site, for MY opinions, paid for by MY money and maintained with MY time. And as such, if I dont like what you have to say because I find it ridiculous, naive, inane, or downright stupid, I will delete, edit or ban you.
It's pretty simple really, imagine this being a home that you've visited where you where told you are not welcome. Yet you insist to be let in time and time again. I dont have to open my doors for you. I dont have to ask you to come in and sit down. I dont have to listen to your absurd and already meticulously debunked opinions.
You want to state your opinions free from any of my dictatorial management, then build your own home. Pay for it. Maintain it. Get your own readership. And invite your own guests.
People like you - sorry for the cliche - are a dime a dozen dude. You dont offer any reasonable argument, your opinions dont foster any reasonable debate and you dont bring anything new to the table except for sarcasm and criticism and innuendo.
Of course, it could always be that I just think youre an asshole.

I don't know why, but everytime I read "new to this'" comments, I read them in the voice of Beavis and Butthead's teacher (and I imagine him with the hippie shirt, sandals and all)- I can't help it...maybe that is not how he talks...but with the things he says, that's the accent/ voice that comes to my mind-

I can't wait for somebody to stand up to him and ask him the hard questions he should be asked.
Of course...not gonna happen ... he's like hilary....they choose their crowds "wisely"

I suspect 'new to this' is Steve Hunt of Winter Park Florida. He's annoyed Venezuela's bloggers for a long time and the only solution is to ban him. We need to just get rid of him.

hey new to this: "casa de val no es tu casa!"
Posted by: ds at November 22, 2005 11:47 AM
no, don't ban him! we need a couple of people like him to pick on- and to "let him express his point of view" before caerle en pandilla - ja!
plus- if he doesn't want people to "bash him" he needs to get a new brain for Christmas-

Thanks for the heads-up. I'd forgotten about this disgusting slag. Unbelievable.
Posted by: Tex at November 22, 2005 05:44 PM
Thank god there's Tex to keep tags on castro's old slapper. This could get gross.

"...everytime I read "new to this'" comments, I read them in the voice of Beavis and Butthead's teacher (and I imagine him with the hippie shirt, sandals and all)..."
David van Driessen lives! Let's all sit around in the circle, share our feelings with the group and sing "Lesbian Seagull."
Or not. ;-)
