I hate Mondays open thread

I get to the office this morning and all hell's broken loose at one of my jobsites. Ill probably be dodging bullets while putting out fires for most of the day so consider this an open thread for your comments or links.

If youve read something interesting of have a blog post youd like to present, please drop a link in the comments section.

Chavez and Sheehan call for the end of the Empire, and now Chavez celebrates Puertorrican terrorist Ojeda, and El Nuevo Herald doesn't contradict him much. I don't know how to post like Dean, so here is the whole link:

What do you wish President Bush would say about Cuba in his State of the Union address on Tuesday? Several suggestions already posted at my site.

I had my very first visitor from Cuba this past week, from La Habana! I never thought I'd get hits from Cuba.

A hit from Cuba. If your blog isn't banned in Cuba yet, maybe it will be soon.

I have the full text of Andrei Codrescu's speech to the American Library Association where he condemns the organization for being hypocritical. It's at cubanamericanpundits.com. And it comes courtesy of Codrescu himself.

Conductor - Thanks for getting the Codrescu speech for us. Might I add that there has not been a peep from the ALA that I have heard about Google censoring search results on behalf of the Communist Party of China.

Hey Greg, let's hope it's not.....it was a (very) short hit yesterday. Let me tell you, I'd consider it an honor to be banned in Cuba, that would mean its serving its purpose!!

Ventanita,

A hit from Cuba! Congrats!

Well, I will make my first comment on Val’s site a short one. I just discovered Babalublog and look forward to adding more in the future.

Here’s a link to my small contribution towards the struggle today. A word speaks volumes...

Val,

I have been living in NY now for the last 10 years. It’s a big change from Hialeah and my community. Your site helps me feel closer to home in the outskirts of the Diaspora. Thank you for your ongoing endeavor to spread knowledge and promote freedom in Cuba.

Does anyone know any pro groups (freedom in Cuba mainly) that take donations? Or any pro democracy groups in Venezuela that also take donations?

Also, if anyone can tell me the congressmen in the US responsible for having Chavez distribute discounted oil to poor communities I would appreciate it. I'm writing a letter.
