Live Free or Die

Mini-fidel hugo chavez took a nice beating from the New Hampshire media in regards to his "magnanimous" offer of cheap venezuelan oil for the state as the Academic Elephant reports:

Kudos to the editors of the New Hampshire Union Leader, who told Hugo Chavez what he could do with his charity yesterday in "No, gracias, Hugo: Give Citgo the heave-ho:"

...

The New Hampshirians of the Union Leader are living up to their state's excellent motto in the finest sense of a long and patriotic tradition. Our collective eyes should be open to Mr. Chavez' sleazy attempts to influence American domestic policy by giving away the resources his own people desperately need. Here in the U.S. we have free markets and free people. Let's keep it that way.

I've always thought "Live free or die" was the best state motto going. Hell, you could use that as a personal guideline to live by.

Hopefully Gov. Lynch has the moral fortitude not to give in to the clamoring useful idiots who believe chavez's propaganda.

Hey Val--thanks for the link! Here's another one that just crossed my desk that I liked:

"You've got Chavez in Venezuela with a lot of oil money. He's a person who was elected legally just as Adolf Hitler was elected legally. And then has consolidated power. And now of course is working closely with Fidel Castro and Mr Morales and others."

"It's worrisome."

Chavez=Hitler. That's our Donald Rumsfeld. Calling 'em as he sees 'em.

About time someone told Chavez where he could stick his oil.
