A Million Cuban Stories
And here's just one of them via NeanderNews:
I met an interesting fellow the other night by the name of Tom Fleeger. It turns out that Tom spent some time in Cuba in 1948 during the heady days of the revolution and had quite a run in with good ole Fidel. He penned a book about his experiences titled Fidel and ‘The Fleeg’. It’s quite a fantastic tale of his harrowing experiences of almost being killed by Fidel, here’s a summary from the jacket:
You can read the jacket here.

1948?
Wasn't fidel meandering in Bogota at the time?
How trustworthy are these tales going to be if "The Fleeger" can't get this very basic fact right?

As Gilda Radner used to say in Saturday Night Live as Rose Ann Rosannadanna:
"Never mind....!!!"
Apparently, this is a flight of fancy, an invention. In other words, fiction.
So the author --the Fleeger-- has one of 'em "Creative Licenses" to write whatever the 'ell he wants.
So hooray for freedom of expression!

"Will trixie go with him? Or will she stay to assist her people to freedom?"
The above line kind of ruins it for me.
