The Sleeping Threat to our South
There is no denying the murderous roots of the current totalitarian regime in Cuba, which Castro keeps in place, as well as his close ties with Chavez and Morales from Bolivia, who now even claims Cuba is a democracy.
All the MSM talks about is the left shift in Latin American politics, including socialist democrats such as the Chilean government. The major reason all of the MSM venues give for this left shift is an anti-American sentiment or as expressed by the so-called "populists" or "nationalists" and anti-imperialist sentiment.
Blaming the USA, the IMF, the world bank and neoliberalism (free market policies with rights to property), has become the cry of war of countries such as Venezuela, Peruvian presidential hopeful Ollanta Humala, Bolivia's president Evo Morales, and for the past 47 years (although with greater insistence since the demise of the USSR) Cuba.
Few are paying attention to the sleeping threat that this radical leftist political shift can bring, when you have countries like Iran practically marrying these Latin American countries - Islam fascist propaganda is only a few steps above the usual Chavez and Castro rants, so the possibility of a Latin American terrorist state is not only feasible, but possible.
In the past terrorist nationalist groups such as Colombia's FARC and Perú's Senderos Luminosos have served to destabilize not only their countries but also their neighbors. It is no secret, that the Cuban government, who has harbored terrorists in the past, supports the cause of groups such as Hamas; it is no secret that Ollanta Humala is an anti-Semite, probably supporting Hamas as well.
It is no secret the close ties Venezuela and Bolivia have with Iran's Islam fascist government, also anti-Semite, so they too probably would support a terrorist militant group as Hamas. Why else would Hamas suddenly decide to send a delegation to Latin America in order to conjure up support, both financial and political, now that the US and the EU are withdrawing their aid, and Israel will not be delivering the charges in tax? And even more so, go dispel the rumors that Hamas is a terrorist military organization?
They are going to Latin America to sell themselves as the victims of the Israeli occupations in search of sympathy. This will not be hard, as Israel is seen as a close ally of the “evil Empire of the US” and Hamas is a master of media manipulation.
Look at the news, look at the behavior of these politicians and draw a parallel with the behavior of radical Islam fascists. Chavez managed to launch a state sponsored news network through four countries, Telesur, and even imported a program that follows the format of Castro’s Mesa Redonda. Telesur, sold as an alternative to CNN, delivers the news from the left point of view and only serves to highlight the governments of Cuba, Venezuela, Argentina, Uruguay and Bolivia. Now Telesur, who since its inception has been advised by Al-Jazeera, strikes a content sharing deal with Al-Jazeera best known for its coverage of Al-Quaeda threatening messages, western citizens’ kidnappings in Iraq and their executions, and the biased coverage of Middle Eastern news.
Telesur will not only be a propaganda tool for the communist platform in Latin America, now it will also spew the Islam fascist and Hamas propaganda, under the veil of a balanced press and news network alternative to those imposed by the “Empire”.
Iran is actively seeking close ties with these governments, in particular because of their anti-American stance, and its great economic potential, so far benefiting from Cuba’s and Venezuela’s decision to not support taking Iran to the UN Security Council for the country’s nuclear aspirations, ignoring the nuclear threat for the entire world.
Recent news reports that Iran has acquired the formula to build nuclear warheads. Cuba and Venezuela, who was the only country to oppose last September forcing the referral, decide to support Iran’s “peaceful” uranium enrichment. Meanwhile, Iran consistently threatens to not allow UN inspectors at their sites or full uranium enrichment program if taken to the UN Security Council.
The world has the right to be concerned with having a government calling for “wiping Israel off the map” starting up a nuclear program, even more so when the government has radical Islamic tendencies.
At the same time Venezuela is moving towards close ties with African nations, rich in oil, turmoil, and Islam fascists. No one gives something for nothing. And this help Iran wants to give Venezuela and Latin America will come with conditions and trade-offs. This will turn Latin America’s soil into a ripe place for terrorist training camps and operation of terrorist cells. The Jews in Latin America should be worried; they’ve been attacked before.
Sooner or later, trade between these states and the Middle East will extend to include doctors, teachers, students, and cultural exchanges, and we know how those have worked for Cuba, so what’s to say that the Islam fascists will not take the opportunity to spread their hate?
Compare the reaction they’ve had to the cartoons to the reactions of Chavez or Castro or Morales when they or their revolution are attacked. All have one thing in common – money from oil; they control most of the oil in the world. Can you see the resemblance?
The discourse of these “populists” is parallel to that of the Islam fascists, they have the same enemy (US), they both hunger for power and control of its people through censorship and repression, and imposing their values and beliefs. Their only difference is religion, but probably not for long.
In January I posted about an increasing trend since 9/11 among Hispanics in the US converting to Islam due to the similarity of the values of Islam with the values of Latinos – family, conservatives, man of the house, and woman at home. Next step? Get them at home, in their own countries.
Radical Muslim groups will come to Latin America like Castro’s doctors, to recruit converts and perhaps even terrorists. If an American citizen can turn into a Taliban Muslim and turn against his country, what’s to stop that from happening among the poor (and perhaps not so poor) in South America?
Since 9/11 I’ve been telling people that Islam fascists want to accomplish two things, the obliteration of Israel and bring back the Moor Empire – who’s to say the Moor Empire cannot expand?
The objective of this editorial is to get people to wake up and open their eyes to the threat to our South, to never underestimate your enemy. The correlation and parallels are not that farfetched, the idea is not unrealistic. Au contraire, it is a short time from becoming reality.
I leave you with this quote from a recent Michael Rowan piece in the Daily Journal, which calls the current political trend in Latin America nihilism: its people rebelling against democracy and the modern world, saying NO to the developed world and its values. Sounds eerily familiar.
"As a consequence, the immediate future of Latin America looks ominously like the present of Africa, or worse, making Latin America the largest threat to world stability today. Few are paying it much attention. The clash of civilizations in the Middle East is a world concern, while the clash of civilizations in the Americas is not. Osama bin Laden is recognized as a world threat, while Hugo Chavez is not. The price the developed world will pay for its sloth is beyond measure."

Brilliant post Ventanita, the time for western leaders to pull their collective heads out of the sand is now, if it's not already too late. I fear for our civilization.

Absolutely brilliant. One of the best analyses I have read on the sad situation south of us. The people will wake up, though, but too late -- as they always do.

Truly eye opening. I believe that the tunnel recently discovered on the US-Mexico border is simply too sofisticated for just drug smugglers.

Well, the largest mosque in South America is located in Buenos Aires. Even in the state of Chiapas, Mexico, Tzotzil Native Americans have converted to the Muslim religion.

Very interesting and frightening analysis, especially for the Jewish population. Thank you.

Folks,
There's a tremendous amount of wisdom on this post, and I recommend that you read and re-read it often, until you can absorb it all and add this knowledge to your arsenal of arguments, for future skirmishers with castro agents, undercover or not.
In fact, I believe that this post is so important that I am forwarding a copy of it to a friend who works "for the government" --the U.S. government, in case anyone is wondering-- so that he, in turn, can provide it to pertinent sources that would be in a position to *do* something about the situation.
My thanks to La Ventanita.

Irate driver torches showroom
A man, apparently angered by the deal he got, plowed the SUV through a north Miami-Dade showroom and set it on fire.
Gerald Georgettis apparently thought he got a raw deal on a new car.
So he plowed the Ford Escape he didn't want through the glass showroom, poured gasoline on it and set the North Dade Metro Ford dealership ablaze, Miami-Dade police said Sunday.
He caused nearly a million dollars in damage, scorching around a dozen cars, including a rare Ford GT Heritage, fire officials said.
Georgettis, 56, a supervisor with the city of
North Miami Beach, walked away from the dealership Saturday afternoon as if nothing had happened, witnesses said.
Police caught up with him a few blocks away from the dealership at 9000 NW Seventh Ave. He was arrested without incident. Police charged him with first-degree arson, a felony, and with felony criminal mischief. He posted a $1,500 bond on Sunday.
Georgettis could not be reached for comment. The dealership manager declined to comment.
But those who know Georgettis were shocked at his apparent act of buyer's rage.
North Miami Beach Mayor Raymond F. Marin was stunned to hear Georgettis, whose duties include managing the city's Jules Littman Performing Arts Theater, could do such a thing.
''He's a nice guy. I didn't know him to be malicious or anything,'' Marin said. ``He's always been nice to me and to people he knows.''
It's unclear what Georgettis' status with the city will be due to his arrest.
The incident played out on a busy Saturday afternoon at the dealership. According to Miami-Dade Police, Georgettis was fuming over the price he paid, a new one goes for about $20,000 and it's unknown what price he paid for a new beige Ford Escape SUV. On Saturday he went back to the dealership. It's unclear what he was told, but he was angered with the final agreement.
He calmly got into the car and drove it through the windows, sending glass shattering everywhere. He then doused gasoline or a flammable fluid on the Escape and other cars and struck a match.
Denise Cruz, another customer, witnessed the jaw-dropping incident. She had brought her car to be serviced and said she was in line when she saw Georgettis careen into the showroom.
''At first I thought someone had pushed the accelerator instead of the brakes by accident,'' she said. ``But this dude drove through the showroom on purpose.''
Cruz, described the scene as ''pure panic,'' with people screaming ''he's got a bomb!'' She said that once the man was in the showroom, she saw him reach over into the passenger side for something, then heard a loud ``boom.''
''Flames were everywhere,'' she said.
But to her surprise, Georgettis, wearing a bright orange shirt and khaki shorts, was calm and strolled away.
The fire spread throughout the dealership and destroyed cars, computers and paperwork. Among the cars damaged was a rare baby blue 2006 Ford GT ''Heritage,'' a limited edition model of only 250 made that sells for $150,000.
A similar rage incident happened in 1994 when Stephanie Elaine Harden, angered at Pep Boys mechanics, walked into the store's showroom at 3388 N. State Road 7 and poured gasoline on the floor, then lit a match. She was arrested on charges of arson.
