Racism? There's no racism in Cuba!

That's what every fidel cultist will tell you, ad nauseum, ad infinitum. Everyone is the same. Theyre all equal. There is racial harmony! Yadayadayada.

But the proof, as the cliche goes, is in the vanilla pudding.

From Miami's Cuban Connection, we get this beautiful example of racial tolerance from a castro minion:

Andres Gomez, the leader of the pro-Castro group Antonio Maceo Brigade who lives in Miami, writes in a Cuban government publication that anti-revolutionary activity is undergoing a renaissance of sorts in the United States. He singles out for ridicule Bibliotecas Independientes, or

Independent Libraries, a group that promotes literacy and the development of civil society in Cuba.

Writing in cubadebate.cu, a Cuban government web site, Gomez uses the race of Ramon Colas, the group's leader, as part of his criticism. "This organization, whose only visible member includes a little Negro who travels a lot, whose style and mannerisms remind me of maids in Cuba before 1959, always dressed in their white uniforms -- seems to ignore, just like his masters, that in Cuba, for example, during the last 15 years, they celebrate annually a national book fair."

I remember Andres Gomez, whose real name is Andres A. Gomez Lopez, from when he was a student at the University of Miami in the early 1970s. He must be about 59 years old now.
His uncle, Miguel San Pedro, was one of the leaders of the Cuban Nationalist Movement, and Andres even went to an anti-Castro protest in 1967 when Felipe Rivero, head of the MNC was jailed in Miami.
Soon after that, Andres radically changed. Some say that the mumps descended and created hormonal havoc. Others say that it was the marihuana that he started smoking. Whatever it was, other Cuban students started mockingly calling him "Andresita," or "La Loca," because he started going to classes wearing bed sheets, dressed like a Buddhist monk.
He later started hanging out with the delincuent Al Featherston, who pretended to be a Black militant. The intimate relationship between them was dubious, like the song "Que sera lo que quiere el negro?"
Those who know this Vieja Loca "de atras" are not surprised that due to his weaknesses he has been a spokesperson for the Castro regime. He is apparently still "hitting the pipe" when he makes ludicrous statements like saying that there is no racism in Cuba. He should instead be a spokesperson for the gays in Cuba who are repressed by the quintessential homophobe Fidel Castro.
