50 DAYS

Starving himself for access to the internet without an Army of Davids to fend off his Goliath.
The last MSM news report on Mr. Fariñas, according to a Google news search, was five days ago.

Fariñas will beconme the latest sacrificial victim on the altar of the MSM's love affair with fidel -- and nobody will know about save through us. This is why I feel as low as I do.

one of the most vivid memories of my childhood was bobby sands hunger strike, his death, and his funeral.. ill never forget the IRA gave a 21 gun salute, and his son ran out to pick up one of the shells.. sands died 66 days into the strike, and rather ironic, there is a memorial to sands in havana.. http://archives.tcm.ie/breakingnews/2001/12/18/story33688.asp
to be fair, there are memorials to sands around the us also, so dont go discounting sands on the fact that he gets a memorial in cuba..
anyways, here we have yet another example of the cuban double standard, when it happens outside of the island, it is an afront to humanity, but i guess fidel borrows a page from vegas, what happens in castros prisons, stays in castros prisons...

I recall previously reading that the Castro regime was keeping Fariñas alive intravenously. Castro apparently does not want him to die like Pedro Luis Boitel to create a martyr.
Similarly, when Ramon Saul Sanchez was jailed in New York in 1982 for not testifying before a federal grand jury investigating his role as an Omega 7 remote-control bomb maker, he went on a lengthy hunger strike. After 26 days, the judge ordered his forced feeding, and he continued the strike for another 109 days. His weight dropped from 200 pounds to 135. He was released after doing four'and'a'half years in jail, the longest term in history for contempt of a grand jury.
While Fariñas is making the ultimate sacrifice, the Cuban masses are on the street celebrating the homecoming of their "heroic" baseball team after their loss at San Diego. Just look at the photos on the Granma newspaper website. These are the descendants of the same crowds who in 1851 cheered the execution of 50 of Narciso Lopez´s liberators at Atares Castle and later mutilated their bodies and kept body parts as souvenirs. These human sheep belong to the same geneological tree as those who in December 1896 publicly feasted in Havana the death on Antonio Maceo. When the Castro regime crumbles, these minions will boast of having been dissidents and oppositions to try to sooth the guilt they will carry.

I know, that is why I tell you that we will be Davids. Victory for all of us is the same I'm sure.

We will be "Davids" when the fucking rock is embedded squarely in the forehead of the motherless fuck who rules Cuba today. Before that happens, we are just shepards.
