Ruined?

As opposed to what?

Fashion Designer Nicole Farhi:

I've always wanted to visit ...

Cuba, because it will be ruined by Americanisation when Castro dies.

I wonder how much merchandise she sells in Cuba now?

funny, she mentions the "military dictatorship of Burma" but not the obvious dictatorship if Cuba. I guess its another double standard between so-called right or left wing dictatorships. Que idiota..

Max,
Great point about the double- standard!
This brings to mind another cubanism that justifies her comments ...
"Ms. Fahri tiene guayabitos en la azotea."

Nicole Farhi -- you are the official winner of the Come Mierda of the Week Award. Your prize, an all expense paid trip to the Cuba Boniato prison so you can enjoy it before Fidel dies and it is hopefully torn down. Next, your prize will be arroz con picadillo with hoja de platano substituted for meat (since the real cubans don't have access to it). Then, you can participate in your own Pinko Leader gang bang where you can get up the poop shoot by your favorite pricks, Fidel, Hugo, Evo, Mugabi, and don't forget that oldie but goodie not forgotten pinko Danie Ortega.

My favorite hotel - The Amankila in Bali for its serenity, privacy and superb food....

In that case, She should just love living like the average resident of Havana. What a condescending racist hypocrite.

Typical of Euro Trash fashionista Britishers - they once had a mighty empire and let it all go because they became weak, feminized, and socialized - now they use the 3rd world as their "holiday" play grounds. They don't realize that Cuba before castro was the powerhouse in the Caribbean and not some Latin American backwater or dirt water town. They somehow think that communism and decay is somehow quaint and chic while at the same time being able to visit while wearing the latest couture. Let me ask you all - what type of poetic justice do you think this person needs?

I'm with Cigar.

Another loony bimbo to make me thankful it's Friday AND that I subscribe to everything she doesn't.

I agree with the others who have said she should visit now while it is being ruined by "castroisation".

Mandingo, that's exactly what I was thinking. I couldn't have put it better myself.

Tell her not to worry if she gets nostalgic for the quaint little things she'll be missing in Cuba like ration books, gulags and political prisoners she can always visit kitschy North Korea.

I hate when countries get Americanized. Next thing you know, they start getting liberty and capitalism and stuff. Who needs that?
