Raffle update
I just spoke to Val and he's been out of commission all day with his vertigo. I know what he's going through because my wife had a similar condition a couple of years ago; it's brutal. In any event, he wanted everyone to know that he will hold the raffle drawing tomorrow afternoon.

I just spoke with El Barbaro, too.
I felt rather bad about it, afterwards, because it truly sounded like he was suffering and here was this voice on the phone... apparently torturing him.
For what it is worth, my intentions were good.
I was just hoping to lend a hand with CubaNostalgia pre-opening chores.
I pray for his health. Let's all do so.
Because we need El Barbaro, hale and hearty.

As of now, my ETA in Miami is noon, Thursday, May 18. I have arranged a tentative interview with someone that afternoon, on a non-CubaNostalgia related matter.
But if my presence --and highly-developed motor skills-- are required at the CubaNostalgia site, I will cancel my journalistic plans and be where I NEED to be. Because I can do the interview after CubaNostalgia ends.
Looking forward to a GREAT weekend, matching new faces with "old" Internet signatures.
I don't know about anyone else, but man, oh man, I'm excited about being in Miami on May 19-21.

Dear Val,
Hope you are taking AntiVert. My husband suffers from vertigo and balance problems. Physical Therapy has been very helpful.
We understand what you are going through and hope you'll be feeling better soon.
