I met a Cuban-American legend

I read Shadow Warrior many, many years ago. It is one of those books that will forever be in my library because of its importance in documenting the fight against fidel castro. You see, Felix Rodriguez is one if the men responsible for capturing che guevara and bringing him to justice in the jungles of Bolivia. The story of Felix Rodriguez's exploits in the CIA in counter-intelligence and counter-terrorism, specifically castro’s exportation of the terrorism into Latin America is compelling and I recommend it to everyone.

I mention all of this because I had the pleasure of shaking this man’s hand and thanking him for what he did. I gave him a “che? Still dead” shirt saying that it was our attempt to counter the che fashion propaganda that has become so ubiquitous among the idiot left. As I handed him the shirt he thanked me and I said not to thank me; we had to thank him for everything he has done.

Thank you, Felix. You are a true American (and Cuban) hero.

Val:
Quick question: was Felix's book written first in English and then translated into Spanish? The other way around or he wrote them in both languages?

First in English (1989). Recently in Spanish.

Oh this is so marvelous. I so wish I were there. Felix knew my friend Jim Quesada, whom I wrote about on the Bay Of Pigs commemoration post. Felix, if you're reading this, you're a patriot and my friend Jim always spoke so well of you. Vaya con dios!
